Let's "Hang 10" at the Beach | Square Shaker Card | Technique Junkies Stamps

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to July.  The July 4th holiday is over but summer is in full swing, and it's the perfect time to make this fun, square, shaker card.  Once again I used my favorite new rubber stamp - Hang 10 - from Technique Junkies .  This is such a great background stamp, is so much fun to color, and, my Scan N Cut has no problem cutting all of these boards out with ease.  :-)     So, how did I make this card? First, the easy parts. I made a top-folding 6" square card using dark blue cardstock.   I cut a piece of white cardstock, 5.75" x 5.75" (for the inside). I stamped Smell the Sea on white cardstock, die-cut it using a fishtail die, and then die-cut a piece of the same blue cardstock using the next larger fishtail die.  I cut a piece of decorative paper 5.75" x 5.75"  Next... I adhered the Smell the Sea sentiment to the blue layer, trimmed a bit off the top and bottom, and adhered it to the white cardstock....

Zen Circles 2 Cards | Use Positive and Negative | Technique Junkies

Image
Hello everyone.  Back on March 1st, I shared a shaker card I made using the Zen Circles and Feel Like Sunshine stamps from Technique Junkies , which you can see HERE if you want.  I cannot state enough how much I love this image.   But I had forgotten that I had already started a more in-depth step-by-step with photos, and I never showed the card I made using the negative space I cut from the image.   So, consider this a sort of Part 2 to my March 1st post.  :-)  Card No. 1 - Shaker Card After stamping and coloring the entire Zen Circles image using Ultra Fine Tip BIC Intensity Markers, I used a kraft knife to carefully cut out the area in the center of the card, leaving room around it for foam tape.   I stamped Feel Like Sunshine on the front of my A2 card base.  Then, using my colored piece as a template, I carefully drew around the inside of the center using a pencil.  This way I will know where to place my shaker...

Super Easy and Quick Hanukkah Shaker Cards

Image
Hey, y'all.  Are you in need of some super easy, fast-to-make, fun, and noisy shaker cards for your family and/or friends celebrating Hanukkah/Chanukah?  Maybe you are not a stamper.  This might be the post you needed.    To start, you need some Hanukkah/Chanukah paper or some 4" x 5" journaling cards.  There are several companies that put out a Hanukkah/Chanukah paper collection but I went with the Happy Hanukkah Collection from Simple Stories .  The collection is available as a physical paper collection and a digital collection .  I bought the digital version.  I started with 2 different journaling cards.  Although I printed 4 of them, I will only use 1 of each for this blog post.  I can fit 4 on a sheet of A4 white cardstock at 80%.  If you have the physical collection, you can just cut the cards out.  They should be the 4" x 5" cards.  Next, I die-cut each of the journaling cards using the 2nd largest stit...

Happy LGBTQA+ Pride Month 2022 - Let's Shake Our Booties!

Image
Hello everyone.  Today kicks off Pride Month 2022 and I felt like celebrating by making some Pride shaker cards.  If I can't shake my booty at a pride parade, my cards are gonna have to do do some shakin for me here on my blog. LOL.  Also, each Friday during the month of June, I will be doing a card collaboration with my friends Misty, The Jolly Fat Elf , and Debra, of Meticulosity .  Although they are not part of the LGBTQA+ community, they are allies and supporters and we are each going to make cards to help celebrate Pride month.  I hope you'll check back each Friday to see what we have come up with. Before I get to my shaker cards, I want to give a shout out to Paper House Productions .  They have two pages of stickers, under their " this is US " line, which celebrates the things that make us different - diversity, equality, pride, love, self care and empowerment. Kuddos to them!!   My friend Debra is a Brand Ambassador for Paper House...
