Coffee and Cards with Deb and Michael - Christmas in July Edition

Image
Hello all!  I am joining my friend  Deb (Meticulosity)  today for her "Coffee and Cards" day.  She normally does this with her friend  Celeste  but Celeste is away so I stepped in to play.  We decided to go with the theme of Christmas in July and, since I am in the process of making a Christmas card, I thought I would just blog about it.   To go along with the theme, my coffee and coffee mug of choice is Starbucks Christmas Blend Vintage 2016 with my favorite Christmas Pig mug (thanks Sue M).  Don't worry, the coffee gets kept in the freezer to keep it fresh.   To make this card, I started with a top folding A2 card base to which adhered a piece of Christmas decorative paper.   I am using a retired set called Christmas Village Holiday from CTMH.  I place a piece of white cardstock into my Misti and I stamped the Church, the Sweet Shoppe, and the sentiment, using Amalgam Black ink (...

It's Coffee and Cupcakes With Deb and Celeste Day

Image
Hello...Hello....Hello.....everyone.  Yes, I am in a good mood today.  That's because I was asked to have "cyber" coffee with my friends Deb and Celeste again and the theme is "anything goes".  This time I am bringing cupcakes.  Well, a cupcake card that it is. Before I get to the card let's talk about today's choice of coffee.  A few week's ago Ruy and I went to a green market in the town next to use and there was a coffee food truck there.  The coffee was great and we bought a bag of the beans.  Freshly ground Brasilian coffee is the best!!  Now, for the card -  The first thing I did was to print out the USA Cupcake digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps.   They also have a Canadian Cupcake and both are on sale for $1 right now.  Yes, $1 US!!   I trimmed the image to 3" x 4" and then I applied some white puffy paint to the cupcake.  I wanted it to look like it was white frosting.  Althoug...

Cards & Coffee With Deb and Celeste - Halloween 2018

Image
Hello everyone.  I am having "cyber" coffee and sharing cards with Deb and Celeste again today. Our theme for today is Halloween - one of the holidays I really miss from the states.  It's not a typical holiday here and, although there might be some parties and the kids will dress up for school, there is no trick-or-treating and there is no candy corn!!  I know...sad.   For today's hop I am enjoying a cuppa Cinnamon Blueberry Crumble (YUM) in a new cactus mug that Ruy got a few days ago and which gave me an idea for a card but that will be next week and, I digress.      For my card today, I decided to use a digi stamp I have from  Bugaboo Stamps  called  Trick or Treat Feet  and I printed 4 of the images at 90% onto white cardstock.   I trimmed one of the images and colored it using a variety of BIC Ultra Fine Tip Markers  (my favorite markers).  I also layered it on to a piece ...

Sunday Coffee With Deb, Celeste, and a Masculine Card Sketch

Image
Happy Sunday everyone!!!  My coffee loving/crafty friends - Deb and Celeste asked me to join them again for some coffee and cards.  It's a beautiful morning here in the countryside of São Paulo and, for some reason, my brain woke up early today.  I'm sitting on the veranda, drinking some Hazelnut coffee from Dunkin Donuts and listening to the birds wake up along with me.   I love this time of the morning. For today's card, Celeste picked a sketch for us to work with -  and the card had to be masculine, which, believe it or not, I have issues making.  I went through my stash and pulled out the Engraver Collection Kit by Prima, which was perfect.   I started with a top folding A2 white card base to which I adhered a piece of dark brown, textured cardstock.  Then, using a stitched rectangle die I cut a piece from one of the sheets in the Engraver pad. I distressed the edges with Black Soot distress ink and adhe...
