Pride 2026 Week 4 Card | Fierce Collection | Traci Reed Designs | LGBT+ Card

Image
Hello everyone, and welcome to my 4th weekly card celebrating Pride Month 2026. Today I used the Falling Hearts Embossing Folder from Stampin Up (retired) and one of the digital journal cards from the Fierce Collection from Traci Reed Designs. To make this card: I cut a 5.25" x 5.25" piece of watercolor paper and embossed it with the Falling Hearts Embossing Folder (#142761) from Stampin' Up.  It is retired, but you might be able to find one online.   Next, using blending brushes and Ranger Distress Inks, I added the colors of the rainbow - Festive Berries (Red), Ripe Persimmon (Orange), Squeezed Lemonade (Yellow), Mowed Lawn (Green), Salty Ocean (Blue), and Chipped Sapphire (Purple).   I made a 5.5" x 5.5" card base using purple cardstock.  Then I adhered a piece of fun foam to the back of the rainbow watercolor paper and adhered it to the card front. I printed one of the journal cards from the Fierce Collection by Traci Reed Designs , and die-cut ...

Pride 2026 Week 3 Card | Happy Happy Happy Pride | Stamp Anniething Stamps

Image
Hello everyone, and welcome to my 3rd card celebrating Pride Month 2026. Today I am using a "HAPPY" stencil that I got from Heffy Doodle before they closed.  I think this is my most-used stencil in my collection because it's perfect for so many holidays and themes.  Today I am using it for a Happy Pride card.      I used Distress Inks from Ranger/Tim Holtz to make the rainbow - Festive Berries for red, Squeezed Lemonade for yellow, Mowed Lawn for green, Salty Ocean for blue, and Chipped Sapphire for purple.  I skipped orange and indigo as there was no room, and they were too close in color to red and purple.     I cut a 6" x 6" piece of watercolor paper and secured it to a piece of printing paper using washi tape.   I secured the Happy stencil on top using washi tape.  Using the washi tape, I blocked off the 3rd and 4th row of the stencil to make sure the ink doesn't travel.   Using a blending brush, I add...

Pride 2026 Week 2 Card | Love Is A Human Right

Image
Hello everyone, and welcome to Pride Month Week 2.  Today I have a bright and fun card using a rainbow die that I bought here in Brasil.  It's not that hard to put together, either.   I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock.  I cut a piece of purple cardstock, 4.25" x 5.5", embossed it with the Cross Weaves 3D embossing folder from Altenew, and adhered it to the card. I printed a sheet of striped rainbow paper from the Fierce Collection by Traci Reed Designs, cut it in half, adhered double-sided tape to the back, and die-cut a rainbow die I got here in Brasil, twice.  I printed the "Love is a Human Right" sentiment from a digital Pride kit I bought on Etsy, die-cut it with a stitched square die, layered it on a piece of the purple cardstock, and adhered it to the card front.   To finish off the card, I cut a piece of the rainbow-striped paper and adhered it to the inside of the card.  This way it also brings the front of t...

Hello everyone.  Welcome to Week 3 of my Equality For All Cardmaking Series. Every Friday in May and June, my fellow cardmakers and I are making cards to help celebrate Pride and the LGBT+ community.  If you want more inspiration, check out the  Equality For All Makers Hop on Instagram  we had 2 weeks ago.  All the amazing cards can be seen  in  this  post on my Instagram page.   This week I made an easy rainbow colored card using an old die in my stash - Leafy Sprig Border from Poppy Stamps along with some rainbow colored paper.    Now, to make this card: I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock.  I printed one of the watercolor splash papers, die-cut a piece using a 4.25" x 5.5" stitched rectangle die, and adhered it to the card front.   I printed rainbow colored striped paper from the Pride Month Digital Paper Collection (link below).  I added 2" wide double-sided tape to the back and die...

Keep Calm and Love Who You Want | Equality For All | LGBT+ Card

Image
Hello everyone.  Welcome to Week 2 of my Equality For All Cardmaking Series.  Every Friday in May and June, my fellow cardmakers and I are making cards to help celebrate Pride and the LGBT+ community.  Last week we had an Equality For All Makers Hop on Instagram , and if you want to check all the amazing cards that were made, head over to THIS post on my Instagram page.   This week I made an easy-peasy, bright, and glittery card using glittered fun foam and stickers from Paper House Productions , one of the sponsors for the Instagram hop. They have many stickers and papers related to Pride, and if you head over to their website and enter "Pride" in their search bar, you will see everything they offer.  Help support a brand that supports the LGBT+ community.   Now, to make this card: I started with an A2 card using white cardstock.  Then I printed a confetti paper I picked up on Etsy, die-cut it using a 4.25" x 5.5" stitched rectangle ...

Happy Pride Month 2023!

Image
Hey everyone.  Welcome to Pride Month 2023 and a new Equality For All "Pride 2023" Collaboration with Misty, aka The Jolly Fat Elf .  I won't go into a big blah, blah, blah about the hate being thrown at the LGBTQIA community since it's all over the news.  And, I want my posts this month to be fun, filled with Pride, rainbows, and lots of bright colors.   So, let's get started. Today I made a slimline card - an idea that has been in my head for over 2 years.  I love the "Converse" sneakers in the Stand Up For America digital stamp set from Polka Dot Orchard  and I have made many cards using this set for July 4th.  But, with the stripes on one of the sneakers, I've always seen a Pride card too, and it feels great to finally get this idea out of my head.       I started by printing one of the papers from the Rainbow Vibes Digital Paper Pack from Graciellie Design , and the Converse sneakers from the Stand Up F...

Pride Collab 2023 with The Jolly Fat Elf | Equality For All | Gay Pride | Love Wins

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to the Pride 2023 Makers Collaboration that I am doing with Misty a/k/a The Jolly Fat Elf.  We already started an "Equality For All" Makers Collaboration in the past and, since June is Gay Pride Month, we are hoping to post a card every Friday thru the end of June (Gay Pride Month) but, that's actually 11 weeks and that means that we have a lot of work ahead of us.  Let's see what happens.  Links to Misty's social media pages to see her cards are at the end of this post.   As an out and proud gay man - I am extremely supportive of the WHOLE LGBTQIA+ community.  I don't care what letter you use.  I may not fully understand every letter but I believe that you should be allowed to be whatever letter you want to be.  And I am really angry over what is happening in the USA with regard to LGBT rights!  We've come so far and now, because of some ass-backward uneducated "conservatives", the USA is going back in ...

LGBTQ+ Pride Month 2022 Week 4 - Love Wins - Collaboration with Misty and Debra

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to Week 4 of my LGBTQ+ Pride Month 2022 collaboration with my friends Debra of  Meticulosity , and Misty aka  The Jolly Fat Elf .   Our cards from the last three weeks can all be found over on our social media pages, along with a lot of other fabulous card ideas, links to which can be found at the end of this post. I think this was one of the fastest cards I made so far.  All it involved was a stencil, some Gina K. Designs inks, and an alphabet die.  After using this Happy stencil, I can see so many cards being made.  Hope you love this idea too.    I started by securing the Lots of Happy Stencil ( Heffy Doodle ) to a piece of white cardstock.  Then I used a Mini Blending Brush and inks - all from Gina K. Designs - in a rainbow fashion.  I started with Red Hot, then Tangerine Twist , Wild Dandelion , Lucky Clover , Powder Blue , and, lastly, ended with Lovely Lavender .   I did have one...
