Not Your Normal Wedding Card

Hi everyone.  I have a fun, odd, wedding card idea to share with you.  Today I was trying to finish decorating the inside of a mini album for a friend and while going thru one of the paper pads I was using ( Printshop! by Studio Calico ) I came across this one sheet with this funny "//yeah, sure//" sentiment and I immediately thought of a wedding proposal with this being the answer.  LOL I made a top-folding A2 card base using black shimmery cardstock.  I wanted this to be a black & white wedding card.   I used a stitched rectangle die to cut the part of the paper with the //yeah, sure// sentiment, which I layered on a piece of silver mirrored cardstock.  I also cut a piece of white cardstock for the inside. I adhered the "//yeah, sure//" piece to the card front. Then I adhered the white piece to the inside but, before I adhered it, I stamped So You're   Mr & Mrs.  Congratulations! which comes from the Congratulations stamp se...

Hello...hello....hello.....I hope everyone is doing great so far this week!  There are so many "holidays" here this month, with long weekends, that time feels like it has slowed down.   Today I want to share with you guys a super easy CAS (clean & simple) wedding card I made for this week's challenge over on the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge Blog .  I swear...you can make this in less than 10 minutes! I started with a top folding A2 card base of white cardstock.  I then went through my stash and found a really classy metallic designer paper (from Brasil), which I adhered to the card front.  Then I cut another piece of white cardstock using the large stitched rectangle from the Bundle of Stitched Shapes (Simon Says Stamp).   Strangely, I do not own many images for a wedding.  That is going to have to change soon.  LOL  But I do have this beautiful and classy set called "Always And Forever" by Gina K. Designs .  Sa...

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope y'all had a nice weekend.  This past Saturday we went with some friends to an ecological park in Campinas that used to be an old fazenda (farm) called Fazendo Mato Dentro.  It was formed in 1806 initially as a sugar plantation and later as a coffee plantation.  It was transferred to the state in 1950 and is now a free park and a biology institute.   Part of the park. The original house. Part of another building that was used to store the coffee. I think this would make a great art studio. Today I am playing along with the gang over at the  Retro Rubber Challenge Blog .  This is   Challenge #48 - Tie Me Up!  and, no, it's not about 50 Shades of Grey but it is all about   using lace, ribbon or twine.   A friend of mine has to go to a wedding and she asked me to make her a simple wedding card for her gift.  I knew that - years ago - I had bought a wedding set ...
