Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas - October 2022 Edition

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to the October 2022 Edition of the Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas.  I took last month off to work on a big project for someone in town.  It's still not finished but I found time this month to make 3 fun cards using 1 retired stamp from Impression Obsession .   If you are just joining me/us, on the 25th of each month, the Crafty Elves - me, Debra of Meticulosity , Lisa of Life of a BZScrapper , post up to 4 fun Christmas/holiday card ideas.  And this month we are thrilled to welcome a new Crafty Elf to the group - Misty aka The Jolly Fat Elf .  Misty was a Guest Crafty Elf once and, since she loves to make cards - especially Christmas cards, we asked her to join us.  And she said YES!  So now, by the time November comes, you will have even more inspiration and ideas for your holiday card-making.   A photo/link to the other Crafty Elves' projects, as well as links to all of our social media pages, ar...

Happy 245th Birthday USA! Happy July 4th with Impression Obsession

Image
Happy 4th of July to all my friends and family in the states.  Today the USA turns 245 years old.  Although she is falling apart and needs her infrastructure structured again, she is still a good looking woman!! So I made her a birthday card.  I hope I look this good when I am 245!   I started by making a top folding A2 card from white cardstock.  Then I printed one of the papers from the Vintage 4th of July Digital Paper from the Jenny L Designs Shop on Etsy and I die cut it using a stitched rectangle die measuring 4.25" x 5.5", which I then adhered to the card front. I die cut another piece of white cardstock using a smaller stitched rectangle die.  Then I die cut the US Flag Die from Impression Obsession leaving room for a sentiment under it.    I adhered the piece with the big rectangle hole in the center to a piece of white fun foam, which I then adhered to the card front. Then I adhered the flag inside the rectangle spa...

Mother's Day Card with Anthony's Paper Craft and Impression Obsession

Image
Hello everyone.  I hope everyone is doing well.  Today I have my card for the Anthony's Paper Craft April Design Team project.  We are focusing on Mother's Day cards and the idea for this card has been festering in my head for some time now. I started by stamping the flowers from Flower Garden two times on white cardstock.  I then fussy cut one of the images in full and then fussy cut just parts of the flowers from the second image. Then I colored the flowers using a variety of fine tip Sharpie markers.  I colored the whole bunch of flowers first and when I colored the single parts, I changed some of the colors. Next I used some dies from Impression Obsession to cut all of my die cut pieces.  First I die cut the Wheelbarrow die with Mirri Silver Cardstock .  Then I went back and used Mirri Black Cardstock for the wheel and handles and Mirri Red Cardstock for the "barrow" part. I also die cut the Fancy Cutout Border from white and kraft c...

Jars of Love Cards For Valentine's Day

Image
Hello everyone. The other day while cleaning I found some wood jars I bought but never used.  I don't even know who made them.  And, my friend Debra also sent me a package of wood jars in a box she sent me - thanks, Debra!  So I thought...why not make some Valentine's Day cards with them.        On the left are the jars from my stash.  On the right are the jars I got from Debra. I decided to make two cards using a jar from each package and with the same Bouquet die from Impression Obsession .  This die has a lot of pieces to it but it's so easy to work with.  The first thing I did was to make a top folding A2 card base of white cardstock to which I adhered a piece of pink cardstock. Then I used my Stitched Rectangle die to cut another piece of white cardstock, which I adhered to a piece of fun foam, which I then adhered to the card front. I did this twice.  I made one pink base and one kraft card base. ...

Thanks A Latte - Coffes Loving Cardmakers

Image
Hello everyone.   Well, today is my last post as Guest Designer on Coffee Loving Cardmakers .  I've had a blast and decided, for my final week, to make a "thank you" card as a way to thank Amy for asking me to be the Guest Designer.  I hope y'all enjoyed my cards and if you missed any of them, there are links at the end of this post if you would like to check them out.   Now, on to today's card..... I started by adhering a piece of dark brown textured cardstock ( DCWV ) to the front of my card base. Then I stamped Hardwood (Stampin Up) on to a piece of white cardstock using Pumice Stone Distress Ink (Ranger) .  Then I cut it using a Stitched Rectangle Die (Simon Says Stamp) . Next, I stamped Espresso (IO Stamps) on to a piece of white cardstock using Jet Black Amalgam Ink (Gina K. Designs) and then I die cut it using the largest die from the Stitched Rectangles STAX (MFT Stamps) . Next, I adhered the image to a piece of...

Sunday Coffee with Deb and Celeste and a Card and Stickers!

Image
Hello everyone!  I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday and that everyone in the U.S.A. is enjoying their 3-day (or 4-day) holiday weekend.  Today is Day 3 of the Spring| Summer 2018 Coffee Loving Papercrafts Blog Hop and I am spending it having coffee with my friends Deb and Celeste .  Today's coffee is an amazing chocolate with mint Brasilian coffee in my favorite pig mug!  When Deb asked me to join them for today's hop I got a bit worried because I realized I didn't have any coffee related stickers.  I know...bizarre.  But then, later that day, the mail arrived, and in it was an envelope from Deb.  She had sent me a card she made - along with a little glassine envelope filled with little coffee to go cups.  Talk about saving the day! I decided to use these little guys for today's card by turning them into stickers.  The cups were designed by Nola Chandler and can be found on her stamp set called Coffee Set Valentin...
