Freshly Made Sketch Challenge with Anthony's Paper Craft and a Stencil

Image
Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!  Is everyone having a great weekend so far?  I hope so! I have been busy with several projects at the same time and cannot find anything on my desk - but somehow the chaos on my desk helps the creativity flow better. Can anyone relate?  Today's card was not a planned project but last night, in the midst of the creative chaos, I got an email from Freshly Made Sketches and the sketch immediately caught my eye.   As I pondered how I could make out a simple card, quickly, I looked over and saw a cool stencil I had on my desk sitting with my favorite sentiment set ever and this card idea popped into my head.   I started with an A2 top-folding card base of white cardstock to which I adhered a piece of textured red cardstock, 3.5"x 5.5".  Next, I cut the smallest long die from the A2 Matting Basics B set ( Spellbinders ) out of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment "You're So Thoughtful" from one o...

Mojo Monday 417 Challenge - Halloween Cards

Image
Happy Saturday everyone!  The creative mojo is still coming!  Today I have two more Halloween cards for you.  One of the problems with living in Brasil is not being able to get new stuff as soon as it comes out.  Or waiting weeks (somethings months) for packages to arrive and then having customs sock me with a huge customs fee.  At times I use older stamps or papers.  Like for these two cards.  I opened the box labeled Halloween and found some goodies I had yet to use.  The first card is a Halloween "spider web" card and is for the Mojo Monday 417 Challenge . I saw that my friend Justin had made THIS card for the challenge and wanted to join in with him.  I like tall and skinny cards.   I started with a white cardstock base, 5.5" x 7", scored at 3.5".  This card is 5.5" tall and 3.5" wide. Then cut a piece of black cardstock, 3.5" x 5.5" and adhered it to the card front. Then I used a sheet of "Frightful Words" ...

30 Day Coloring Challenge Day 2

Image
Good day everyone.  Hope your Thursday went well.  Considering that I thought it was Wednesday, mine well very well.  I gained a day.  LOL.  But today is the best day of the week - FRIDAY - and I have a card for Day 2 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge over at The Daily Marker.  I used the same sketch as yesterday's card and plan on entering this one in The Paper Players challenge too.   I won't bother you with the step by step since it's basically the same as yesterday .  The only big change is that I used the largest and second largest dies from a set of Stitched Jumbo Fishtail dies instead of the scalloped piece in the center.  And I used Stitched Rectangles for the image and the piece of black cardstock right behind the image.   Here is a closer look at the adorable image on the card -  I just wanted to show another way to go with the sketch.  I hope you like this card.  I have a list below of the supp...

Today I Am The Guest Designer Over At "Can You Case It?"

Image
I was asked by my friend Eva , who I met through my friend Justin , who I met through my friend Renee  because I had been following him on Pinterest (whoa, long story.  Sorry, I digressed).  Anyway, Eva asked me if I would be a Guest Designer on her challenge blog called " Can You Case It? ".  I was honored to be asked and  said "sure"..."no problem"..."I'd be honored"...blah, blah, blah.  Then I found out that I wasn't really "casing" something already made.  I was given a "sketch" to "case"!   To be honest - I HATE SKETCHES!  LOL So I sat myself down and had a little conversation with myself.  I told myself, "self, sometimes you just have to face your fears, face those things that make you squirm, and sweat, and put fear into your creative thought process".  But I did it.  And, I have to admit, it was a lot more fun than I expected.  Maybe I be taking part in other sketches down the ...
