I'm Back.....with Retro Rubber Challenge No. 65

Hello everyone!  It's been too long since I have posted anything here because I was back in NY for a month.  Although I brought stamps and supplies back with me to play with I never made any of the ideas I planned on making.  It was a nice trip.  I got to family, catch up with some friends, and take care of some things.  I got back a week ago finally found some time to make some cards that I wanted to share with you guys.   My apologies if the photos are not great....I now have a Mac and am learning how to work with photos!  Talk about stress!!  LOL The two cards at the top I made for both a card swap (left side) and for the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog (right side).  For the card swap I had to use a stamp by either Penny Black or Stampendous.  So I decided to use the sketch in the current Retro Rubber Challenge No. 65 to make the card, which is this one -  I started with an A2 top folding card base.  I f...

Day 4 and 5 - 30 Day Coloring Challenge/The Male Room Challenge #47 Colors

Hello everyone!!  Happy Saturday night.  This post was supposed to go live this morning but the day completely got away from me.  We had our friend Daise here this weekend giving classes and pretty much played all day.  LOL.  The above baby card I made this morning.  I don't think there is anything more enjoyable than coloring an image while sitting on the veranda, sipping freshly brewed coffee and eating a piece of freshly baked apple cake.  Okay...enough gloating.  LOL Today's card is for Day 5 of The Daily Marker and The 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  It's also being entered into a new card challenge site I stumbled upon called The Male Room .  I know it sounds like a strip club (LOL) but it's a card challenge site for male only projects.  Their current Challenge #47 is to use the colors Orange, Yellow, and Blue (along with some allowed neturals) - I started by stamping the Baby Zoo Umbrella by Whipper Snapper Designs...

Good morning everyone.  Yesterday was the Brasilian  holiday of Finados (Day of the Dead), which is s imilar to other Day of the Dead celebrations, people go to cemeteries and churches with flowers and candles and offer prayers. The celebration is intended as a positive honoring of the dead.  Since there was not much to do, we went to a BBQ with some friends and relaxed.   In the morning I started a card for Day 2 of The 30 Day Coloring Challenge over at The Daily Marker. I've had these whimsical Black Eyed Susans by Art Gone Wild and they were screaming for some watercolor.  So I broke out my distress inks and a waterbrush and had some fun.   I started by stamping the image on a piece of white cardstock with Jet Black Archival Ink and then heat setting it.  Then I stamped a bit of Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade distress inks on an acrylic block and colored in the flowers with a water brush.  I started with mustard seed and then wen...
