  Hello everyone, and welcome to Day 8 of my 31 Days {hopefully} of Halloween/Autumn Cards 2023.  If I'm being honest, I gave a class today and had no energy to also do a blog post.  But, while cleaning, I found a cool skeleton chipboard (from an old My Mind's Eye Collection) in the bottom of a bag along with the September 2016 Die of the Month from Spellbinders with pumpkins, bats, etc. and an idea started to form.    Since the skeleton is large, I made a 5" x 7" card base using black cardstock.   Then I found this cool paper (moon and tree branches) in the digital version of the Trick or Treat Collection from Carta Bella, designed by Steve Duncan.   I printed the paper, cut it down, layered it on a piece of black fun foam, and then adhered it to the card front.     I adhered the skeleton so the hand was in front of the moon.   Using a few of the dies from the Spellbinders September 2016 Die of the Month kit, I die-c...

Hello everyone.  Hope your June is going well so far.  We have had some freakin cold nights here but 3 blankets, while we sleep, help a lot.  We wake up to 33F to 35F but it goes into the 80s during the day and then cold again at night.  Hopefully, this cold front will end soon.   Today, while making a card for an upcoming blog post, I screwed up.  So I decided to use my mistake to make a card for today.  Since it's Pride Month and my project includes the NYC subway map, I thought I would make a quick card in honor of the NYC Pride Parade that will happen on Sunday, June 26th.   If you should need any info about the parade, just click HERE to be taken to their official website.  I started by making a top folding A2 card base.  Then I printed one of the designs from  these rainbow papers I bought from Best Graphics Online on Etsy and I die-cut part of it using an A2 stitched rectangle die from Pink & Main .  I a...

  Hello everyone.  So it seems there is a lot going on this week related to coffee.  Wednesday, September 29th is National Coffee Day - a celebration of all things coffee in the USA and Canada.   And then, on Friday, October 1st, is International Coffee Day.  Phew!   To read all about National Coffee Day and to see 57 deals, discounts, and freebies related to coffee...check out THIS link.   I wanted to make a quick card and other than waiting for the glossy accents to dry on the cups, this card is very quick to make. I started by making a 3 5/8" x 8 5/8" slimline card base using Kraft cardstock.    Then, I die-cut another piece of the Kraft cardstock using the largest stitched die from the Slim Stitched Rectangle Die Set from Pink Fresh Studio .   Next, I randomly stamped 3 of the cups from the Coffee 2 set from Anthony's Paper Craft with Coffee Archival Ink all over the stitched Kraft piece.    Using th...

  The idea for this "home decor" piece came after I watched THIS video on how to make a shadowbox.  The box measures 6" x 6" and the inside is 4.5" x 4.5", which is the perfect size for the Wreath 2 stamp I wanted to use.   You could also use Wreath 3 and, for a Spring/Floral box, you can use Wreath 4 . So, the first thing I did was to make my shadowbox using a piece of textured red cardstock.   Instead of me showing how to make the box, it's better if you just watch the video.  She does a great job showing how to make the box.     I also cut 4 strips of decorative paper to fit the 4 sides of the front of the box.   Next, I adhered the strips to each side of the shadowbox.   I cut a piece of white cardstock with a 4" stitched square die.  Then I stamped the Wreath 2 image using Onyx Black Versafine ink and then I heat embossed it using Black Sparkle Embossing Powder by Ranger.  Then I colored the wreath with...

Hello all!  Today I am sharing my individual Design Team post for Anthony's Paper Craft .  Our theme for this month is "anything goes" so I decided to finally get an idea out of my head.  Anthony has a bunch of "tile" images, all which can be seen HERE in the Mandala/Tile section on his website, and every time I look at them they remind me of Italian or Portuguese tiles like in the photo below.  To make my card I used one of the images from the Tiles Set 1 .  This is a set of 3 tile stamps about 1 5/8" square.  He also has the same images in a larger stamp too.  But that's another card idea sitting in my head.  I pulled out a tool that many stampers have forgotten about - the stamp positioner like a Stampa-ma-jig .  You know, the precursor to the Misti stamping tool.  I did not think I could make this card using the Misti.  Too much work.   I started by cutting a piece of white cardstock with a stitched rectangle die.  Th...

Hello everyone!  This month the Anthony's Paper Craft Group Design Team Project is about Father's Day. Having recently lost my own dad, I know that some people might no longer have their dad around, or they might not have a relationship with their dad, or, maybe they don't have a dad.  Each of us has a different situation.  I was having a hard time thinking of a card to make and was not focusing.  But I think my dad sent me a message.  I still had my nautical sets sitting on my desk from the two cards I made the other day, which you can see { HERE }, and my dad was in the Navy in his youth and he loved to fish when I was a kid.  So I decided to go with a "nautical-themed" Father's Day card in his honor.  The creativity was flowing and I ended up making 3 cards.  Even if you don't have a "dad" to give a card to, maybe this card will inspire you to make a birthday card for that guy in your life that you look to as a dad, or a neighbor, or even ...

Hello everyone and welcome to my May 2021 Design Team project for  Anthony's Paper Craft .  This month's theme is "cards for guys" - nautical themed cards, masculine cards, birthday cards, and, the group project on the 15th is all about Father's Day.  The idea I had in my head was to use a map with blue cardstock.  Since I was going to use two sheets of paper and the die I used gives a negative and positive, I made 2 cards at the same time. This way everything I cut got used.   Let's start by making our card bases.  I made two top-folding A2 cards from white cardstock.  Then I adhered kraft cardstock to the front of each one.  I wanted a map and the color blue for the cards.  So I pulled out a blue sheet from the  Brights Cardstock Stack  and one of the map pages from The Maps, Text, & Ledgers Stack .  Because this is paper, I adhered it to a piece of kraft cardstock before cutting.   Then I cut eac...
