2025 Card 2 | Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge | Snowflakes | Stamplorations

Image
Today I would like to share with y'all my 2nd card for 2025 - a slimline "coffee-themed" Christmas card for the Caffeinated Christmas #37 card challenge on Coffee Loving Papercrafters . The theme is "snowflake" and, of course, it has to have a coffee, cocoa, or tea theme included also.   Let me show you how I made this card.  I printed Coffee Cup Row from Stamplorations on a piece of white cardstock, die-cut it using a 2 5/8" x 7 5/8" slimline die, colored the cups using 5 different alcohol markers, and adhered a piece of fun foam to the back. Using a snowflake stamp I found in an old Avocado Arts (out of biz) stamp set, I stamped a snowflake on the front of each cup using Jet Black Archival Ink.    I made a top-folding 3" x 8" white slimline card base. I die-cut a piece of red cardstock using a stitched slimline die and adhered it to my card front.    I adhered my colored cups to the front of the card. I stamped 3 sentiments, die-cut them...

QKR Stampede "Anything Goes" Challenge | Snailing By to Say Hi

Image
Hello everyone!  I hope your summer is off to a good start.  We are heading towards winter here in Sao Paulo and, sadly, it's a bit colder than normal.  At least we don't get snow here.  Yet!  Today, June 15th, starts a new QKR Stampede "Anything Goes" Challenge .   I need a few notecards to send to friends and, since mail from here to anywhere else in the world takes forever, I decided to use this snail digi image to reflect that.  LOL For this card I used Hitching A Ride ,  Hi , and Quote Balloon  - all available on the Want2Scrap website.  I started by importing Hitching A Ride, Quote Balloon, and Hi into Pages on my Mac. I sized it for an A2 card and positioned the "Hi" in the center of the Quote Balloon image.  Then I printed two of these on white cardstock. I fully colored one of the images and on the 2nd, I fussy cut the Quote Balloon with the Hi inside.  I also made a top-folding A2 card from white cardstoc...

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 29

Image
Hey everyone.  One of the things I want to really focus on this year is to make more holiday cards and to participate in some card sketch challenges.  I have major issues with "card sketches" and there is no better way to get over that fear other than to take part in them.  So, to kick off the New Year, I am playing along with the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 29, which has been extended thru January 31, 2023.   Here is the sketch -  And, if you want to play along, you can check out all the info over on the {BYSH) Cardmakers Blog (that's Build Your Own Stash).  Just remember, entries must be added to the challenge album in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook Group to be eligible for a prize.  The winner will be chosen randomly from the entries and will be announced in the Facebook group.   For my card, I used the Leaves & Berries stamp from Technique Junkies , which I also used on THIS card the other day.  I h...

I Love You!

Image
Hello everyone!  I hope everyone is having a good February so far.  This Friday is Valentine's Day and, even though it's not really celebrated here in Brasil, I wanted to make another card and I had to use  Word Critters Spring Birds and Cool Tag Banner Sentiments , both by Your Next Stamp , because they are sitting on my desk mocking me!!  LOL  I honestly think this is probably the simplest card I have ever made!   I cut a piece of white cardstock using a stitched rectangle die, which I put in my stamping platform.  I then arranged the branch and the bird couple (from the Word Critters Spring Birds set) and the sentiment "I Love You" from the Cool Tag Banner set, and I stamped them using Jet Black Amalgam Ink from Gina K. Designs. I made a top-folding A2 card base of white cardstock to which I adhered a piece of red cardstock.  Then I colored the card using Ultra Fine Tip BIC Markers - Yellow Blaze and Sunset Orange ...

If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge No. 134 - Retro!

Image
Hello all!  It's time for a new challenge over on the If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge Blog . This is Challenge No. 134 and it's all about "retro". Here is the photo that the Design Team had to use when making their card, should you wish to play along with us.   I have to admit...even though my childhood consisted of 8-track and cassette tapes, playing Pacman and Ms. Pacman after school in the game room at the mall, trying to get all the colors to match on my Rubik's Cube, and attending the original Ghostbusters on opening night at the movie theater...I am NOT a retro card kinda guy.  But, for some strange reason, I ended up making 3 retro cards.  Go figure! First, I had to find a retro image to use.  I went to Esty and found a digital stamp of a cassette tape, which you can find HERE . I printed a few, both at 30% and 35%, on to white cardstock.  Then I looked thru my digital papers and found some cool retro feeling papers ...

If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge No. 131 - Christmas Snow-globe

Image
Hello everyone!!  It's been forever since I posted anything here but I have a good reason.  I went home to NY - originally to spend time with my Dad for his 83rd birthday.  But, after purchasing my ticket, Dad fell and fractured his hip.  So my trip home did not go as planned and I ended up spending a lot of time with him in rehab and then with him when he was sent home.  I got to spend more time with Dad than I expected but my crafting time was limited to practically none.   Dad is home now and doing much better.  As long as he does his exercises and listens to his physical therapists, I am hopeful that he will be back to dancing soon!   I am back in Brasil now and decided to jump back into the cardmaking arena with the newest challenge from the  If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge Blog .  We are up to Challenge No. 131 which is all about Christmas.  Here is the photo the design team had to use for inspi...

Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge No. 124 - Coffee Drinking Llama

Image
Hello everyone!!  Did you know that even llamas love coffee....liquid life....java juice?  I didn't either until I found this image and made this card.  LOL  Today's card is my Design Team project for the If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge Blog and today is Challenge No. 124 - and it's all about llamas!  Here is the inspiration photo that the design team had to use in case you want to play along -  In order to make something for this challenge, I needed a llama stamp, of which I had none, so I jumped on Etsy and started my search.  I found THIS  adorable digital llama clip art set and THIS  digital "Sweet Morning" coffee paper set, which went perfectly with the llama images.  So I bought them.   I made a top folding A2 card base of white cardstock to which I adhered a piece of Kraft cardstock.  Then I printed one of the designs from the Sweet Morning dig paper and die cut it using the Quilted Frame D...

If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge No. 123 - CAMPING!!

Image
Hello everyone!  It's that time again...time for the next challenge over on the  If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge Blog  -   Challenge No. 123 , which is all about camping, campfires, and smores.  Sadly, I have to admit, that I have never been camping.  But I still had fun making this card and it's such a simple, yet fun card to make. First off, here is the inspiration photo that the DT had to work with -  I have no traditional camping stamps and the digital stamps I found online were not really inspiring me so I went back to my stash and found a stamp set from Stampin Up called "Glamper Greetings".  I bought this about 2 years ago and I decided to finally put some ink to these stamps and go with a different sort of camping...a camper!!   I started by cutting a piece of white cardstock with a stitched rectangle die.  Then I put the camper stamp, along with the sentiment, into my Misti and I stamped the ...
