Hello everyone, and welcome to the August 2025 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with  Deb  and  Lisa .  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we (the Crafty Elves) post one or more holiday cards in hopes that we inspire you to start  making your own so that, come November, we have cards ready to mail.     .       This month I used Christmas Collage from Viva Las Vegas Stamps .  I've had this stamp in my stash for years, and it felt great to put some ink on it.  If you are interested in this stamp, check out THIS link.  You can buy this stamp wood mounted, on cling, or as an unmounted stamp.  To make this card: I made a 5.75" square card base using red cardstock, and adhered a piece of white cardstock, 5.5" square to the inside.  I cut a piece of holiday paper, 5.5" square, and adhered it to the card front. I stamped Christmas Collage on white cardstock using Onyx Bla...

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas | June 2025 Edition |

Hello everyone, and welcome to the June 2025 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with  Deb  and  Lisa .  Can you believe that half the year is gone already?  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we (the Crafty Elves) post one or more holiday cards in hopes that we inspire you to start  making your own so that, come November, we have cards ready to mail.   For my card this month, I used one of the stamps from the Along the Same Lines set from Stampin Up.  This is a set from 2005 and has 4 tall stamps.  One of them is a stamp of 3 tall Christmas trees and, before I list it on my Brasilian destash page, I wanted to make a card using it.   I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock to which I adhered a piece of textured red cardstock.   Using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, I die-cut a piece of white cardstock, stamped the Christmas trees stamp 3 times using a stamp positioner, an...

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas | May 2025 Edition | Hero Arts

Hello everyone, and welcome to the May 2025 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with  Deb  and  Lisa .  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we (the Crafty Elves) post one or more holiday cards in hopes that we inspire you to start  making your own so that, come November, we have cards ready to mail.   So, during the month, as I was cleaning out boxes, bags, and bins of stuff in my stash, I found this vintage stamp from Hero Arts, and I had to make these cards using it.   These 2 cards use the Snowman and Snowflakes (K5533) stamp from Hero Arts from 2011. It's so old, I can't even find a sample card made by anyone. I made 2 top-folding A2 card bases using white cardstock and adhered a piece of dark blue cardstock to the front of each one.     I cut 2 pieces of lighter blue cardstock, 3 7/8" x 5 1/4", and embossed them using the Christmas Wishes embossing folder from Crafter's Companion. ...

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas | April 2025 Edition | Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas Card

Image
Hello everyone, and welcome to the April 2025 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with  Deb  and  Lisa .  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we post one or more holiday cards.  This way, come November, we don't have to stress over making cards to send to people.  We hope to inspire you, and we hope you will join us.       This month I made a Christmas card using the dies from Day 3 from the 2024 Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar .  If you missed getting one of these Advent calendars or if you are still thinking about it, you can get one HERE .    Even though the dies in this "Stitchmas Advent" were meant to be stitched, I decided to use them in a different way and NOT stitch them - but bedazzled them.  While trying to come up with an idea for using this set of dies, the image below popped up in one of my feeds, and that is what I am using as inspiration for this card....

Hello everyone, and welcome to the March 2025 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with  Deb  and  Lisa .  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we post one or more holiday cards.  This way, come November, we don't have to stress over making cards to send to people.  We hope to inspire you, and we hope you will join us.           This month, I made 2 cards and 2 tags using the Festive Greenery Builder Stencil Set from Altenew , some ink pads from Gina K Designs , and holiday sentiments.  Easy peasy.  This Festive Greenery Builder Stencil Set is so easy to use.  It has 3 layers, each clearly numbered.  Since I don't have any ink pads from Altenew, I used 3 colors from Gina K Designs: Red Velvet for the first layer, the berries; Lucky Clover for the 2nd layer, the leaves; and Christmas Pine for the 3rd layer, the stems.       To make each of the sten...

Hello everyone and welcome to the first Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas of 2025.  I have decided to rejoin my Elf friends Debra  and  Lisa  this year (they gave me a raise and the corner office).  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we each post one or more holiday cards so that at the end of the year, we have a bunch ready to send out to people.  And we hope you will join us.          This month's card uses a few Christmas digi sentiments and paper.  No stamping required.   I made a top-folding A2 card and adhered a 1.5" strip of Christmas striped paper to the right side.     Then I cut a piece of red cardstock, 3.5" x 5.5", adhered a piece of fun foam to the back, and then I adhered it to the card front.   I cut a piece of white cardstock, 3 3/8" x 5.5", embossed it with the " Christmas Wishes" embossing folder from Crafter's Companion , and adhered it on the red cardsto...

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with Deb and Lisa | October 2024 Edition

Image
Hello everyone!  It's been a few months since I collaborated with my friends  Debra  and  Lisa  and it's great to join them again for the October 2024 Edition of The Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas,  which happens on the 25th of each month, in hopes that our ideas inspire you guys to start to make or help you in your Christmas card making fun.   This month I have 2 quirky cards to share with everyone.   I know this image of a  Holiday Bunny  from  Lady Stella Creates  on Etsy is not for everyone but when I saw the bunny hanging lights on a Christmas tree, I thought it was a fun, quirky image and I had to have it.  He, or she, just makes me smile.   Card No. 1 I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock to which I adhered some Christmas striped paper. I printed the Holiday Bunny on white cardstock, die-cut it using a 3.75" x 5" stitched rectangle die, and stamped Dotted Merry Christmas from...

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas | July 2024 Edition | 2 Cards 1 Stamp

Image
Hello everyone!  I'm playing along this month with my friends Debra and Lisa for the July 2024 Edition of The Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas, which happens on the 25th of each month, in hopes that our ideas inspire you guys to start to make or help you in your Christmas card making fun.   Today I have 2 cards for you using the same stamp.  The other day I was cleaning out a box and I came across a stamp that I must be 12-15 years old but it had yet to be inked up -  Birds on Gifts from American Art Stamp .  American Art Stamp went out of biz years ago but, believe it or not, I found a site in Germany that still has 1 in stock.  Go figure!   It's the perfect little stamp for a Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa card, even, a winter birthday.  So I made two.  Card No. 1 - Hanukkah I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock. I adhered a piece of plaid paper with tones of blue to the card front. I die-cut a piece of w...
