Embrace Your Inner Witch | KCS Designs by Kim Design Team Project | Halloween Cards

Hello all.  It might be August, but Halloween is right around the corner, and today is a great day to start to make some cards.  Today's cards are Design Team Projects for KCS Designs by Kim on Etsy, and they are super easy and fast to make.  I used one of the papers from both the Carnival of Shadows Journal Papers digital kit, and the Mixed Media Paper Purples and Greens digital kit.

The Carnival of Shadows kit has 20 different images of haunted, creepy, gothic, and disturbed employees of the Haunted Circus that only comes to town in October each year.  For my card, I used Wicked Wanda, the witch.

For the background, I fell in love with the Mixed Media Paper Purples and Greens because it has all of the colors of Halloween - purple, lime green, and black.

Card No. 1

  • I made a top-folding A2 card using black cardstock.
  • I printed one of the papers, die-cut it using a 4.25" x 5.5" stitched rectangle die, and adhered it to the card front.
  • I printed Wicked Wanda at 50%, die-cut her using a 3.75" x 5" stitched rectangle die, layered her on a piece of black cardstock, adhered a piece of black fun foam to the back, and then to the card front.
  • I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, and adhered it to the inside of the card.
  • I stamped "Embrace your inner witch" from Impression Obsession (no longer in biz), on white cardstock, die-cut it using a stitched banner die, layered it on a piece of black cardstock, and then to the card front.
  • Lastly, I added some black Stickles to Wanda's eyebrows, lips, and dress.

  • I stamped "Happy Halloween" from Printworks (no longer in biz), on white cardstock, die-cut it using a stitched banner die, layered it on a piece of black cardstock, and then to the card front.
  • Lastly, I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the inside for a message.
I hope you have enjoyed these two card ideas.  Have you started to make any Halloween cards yet?  Let me know.  Thanks for stopping by the blog today and, until next time...

Hugs from Brasil.
