World Of Michael Trent

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday!  I hope everyone is well.  It's been a crazy week here.  Ruy and I had a photo exhibition last weekend at the Belle Epoque Cultural Center here in town, which we did as a benefit for a charity.  It was nicely received and was a great feeling to see everyone's reactions to our photos.  I will try to get a post done this weekend about the show.  Of course afterward, I got sick for a few days, but am finally back up and running.  Today is Brasil's Independence Day so everything is closed and I finally found some time to do a new blog post.   Yes, 2nd post about "back to school".  This time for the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog  -  I started with a piece of white cardstock.  Using some washi tape I taped down the "Numerals" stencil (TCW200S) by The Crafter's Workshop .  Next, using a mini blending tool (Ranger) with some inks from Reverse Confetti ( Piggy Bank, Salsa , an...

A Bunch of Stendoodled Pieces I Made Have you ever gotten an idea and thought that it was going to be the next amazing thing in the paper crafting world?  The one no one else has ever thought of?  Well this happened on my recent trip back home to NYC.  I was not able to bring a lot of art materials home with me but I was able to squeeze into my luggage my tombow markers, some permanent markers, a bunch of stencils, and a Zentangle book.  I have always loved the look of Zentangling and I was determined to finish a full project by the end of this trip.   One night I traced the outline of the Blazonry stencil on some watercolor paper and then sat - for hours - trying to make many of the Zentangle designs in the book.  It did not look great.  It didn't even really look good.  I realized that this Zentangling was not as easy as it looked and that it probably takes a lot more practice than I was willing to give it on this trip.    ...
