If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge No. 135 - It's A Girl/It's A Boy Cards

Image
Hello everyone!  It's time for a new challenge over on the If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge Blog . We are up to Challenge No. 135 and it's all about babies...or Valentine's Day....or animals....or the color pink!  I went with the baby theme and made two cards - one for a baby girl and one for a baby boy. Here is the inspiration photo that the Design Team had to use when making their cards should you wish to play along with us.  I started with top folding A2 card bases of white cardstock to which I adhered a piece of decorative paper to each card front using the boy and girl versions of the Bundle of Joy A New Addition (Echo Park).  Then I cut two pieces of white cardstock using a Stitched Rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs.     I went thru my box of baby stamps and found two sets from The Greeting Farm that I wanted to use. I've had them a long time, they are retired, and there are no names on the packaging, but...

Freshly Made Sketches 328 With Anthony's Paper Craft

Image
Hello everyone.  I hope y'all had a great weekend! Ours was busy as usual.  Saturday night we went to Arte & Fato for the photo exhibition.  There was a really nice turnout and it feels great to see people voting and donating food.  But we got home really late.  And last night we had our friend Rociel over for dinner and we were up late chatting.  It was his first time tasting Mac N Cheese and he loved mine!!  Good grief my butt is dragging.  I think tonight will be an early one.         Today I have a super easy card for you that I made for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge Blog .  This is Challenge No. 328 and this is the sketch I had to work with -  I have wanted to use this Teddy Bear stamp from Anthony's Paper Craft for the longest time and this sketch is just perfect for it.  And so easy! I started with my white card base and adhered a piece of navy blue cardstock...

"Loving On" - Your Next Stamp ....

Image
Hello everyone!!  Sorry for disappearing.  No, I was not abducted by aliens nor did I win a round-the-world cruise.  LOL. Life just got in the way as most of you can understand.  The holidays were a bit crazy here and I did some travelling to other parts of Brasil.  Then….well…..I lost my mojo.  I think I left the door open one day it went for a very long walk.  LOL But it’s back now and I need to thank Katie over at Katemade Designs !  She posted on Facebook that she was going to do one of her “Loving On” series using stamps by Your Next Stamp and she was looking for others to join her. So here I am! I have loved products by Your Next Stamp for a few years now.  Not only are they adorable but they are really well made, their phrases come in some really nice fonts, and their customer service is amazing.   So this week I am “Loving On - Your Next Stamp”.  I will have two posts this week and I will be sharing posts from s...

Day 4 and 5 - 30 Day Coloring Challenge/The Male Room Challenge #47 Colors

Image
Hello everyone!!  Happy Saturday night.  This post was supposed to go live this morning but the day completely got away from me.  We had our friend Daise here this weekend giving classes and pretty much played all day.  LOL.  The above baby card I made this morning.  I don't think there is anything more enjoyable than coloring an image while sitting on the veranda, sipping freshly brewed coffee and eating a piece of freshly baked apple cake.  Okay...enough gloating.  LOL Today's card is for Day 5 of The Daily Marker and The 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  It's also being entered into a new card challenge site I stumbled upon called The Male Room .  I know it sounds like a strip club (LOL) but it's a card challenge site for male only projects.  Their current Challenge #47 is to use the colors Orange, Yellow, and Blue (along with some allowed neturals) - I started by stamping the Baby Zoo Umbrella by Whipper Snapper Designs...

Noah And His Ark of Critters (And My Obsession With Noah's Ark)

Image
Happy Labor Day everyone (in the states).  Here it is just another regular Monday for me.  So....I admit it....I have an obsession with anything to do with Noah's Ark. I have no idea why.  I do remembering reading the story as a kid and just fell in love with it. Considering my love of all animals, it's really not that odd. Right?  I have several puzzles of Noah's Ark (that I will probably not get to put together until I retire) and a box of Noah stamps, most of which have never had ink put to the rubber -   But that all changes today as I finally ink up one of these babies and enter this in the  Retro Rubber Challenge 46 - Critter Time ! I started with a top folding A2 card base of navy blue cardstock.  To that I adhered a piece of light blue plaid patterned paper that went well with the theme of the card.   Next, I used two Lawn Fawn dies - Stitched Journaling Card and Ocean Wave Borders .  With the Stitched Jour...

Retro Rubber Challenge No.45 - Baby Girl Card with Clear and Simple Stamps

Image
Hello everyone!!  Did you know that today is National Dog Day ?  I didn't either until I started to see all these posts on Facebook and Instagram.  In honor of today...and because I freakin LOVE dogs (all animals really)....and we have 6 dogs...I thought I would post 2 of my favorite photos of the dogs -  Top to bottom is - Sunshine (son of Max and Bella), Latte (son of Max and Bella and Sunshine's best friend), Max (father of Sunshine and  Latte - and  Whiskey and Capuccino, both of whom have been adopted), Bandido (who showed up on our door for one night and has yet to leave), and Bella (The Princess who puts up with all the others). Sasha, the Pit, who is 5 years old and, unfortunately, does not play nice with the other 5.  So she stays with us in the store. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, I will posting a few other photos of the beasts.  LOL Now, for today's card.  Today is the last day to enter a card in t...

Retro Rubber Challenge No.45 - Baby Boy Card with Clear and Simple Stamps

Image
Hello everyone!!  Happy Hump Day!  The week is almost over.  LOL.  Today I wanted to show you a card I made for the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog .  This week's Challenge 45 is a sketch challenge -  I had so much fun with this sketch.  I needed to make a baby boy card so I pulled out this set called Cart Pals: Baby by Clear & Simple Stamps .  I think I have owned this set for over 3 years now and am just getting to ink it up.  It's a great set and since this sketch is so easy, I plan on making a baby girl card and a few others with this set.     (A side note here - Clear & Simple is having a "retiring" party and this set is one of the sets retiring.  It normally sells for $24 but is on on sale for $16.80.  Once the retiring sets are gone, they will be gone.  So if you like this set, grab it.  You can check out all of the retiring items HERE .  Also, I earn nothing if you make a purchas...

Today I Am The Guest Designer Over At "Can You Case It?"

Image
I was asked by my friend Eva , who I met through my friend Justin , who I met through my friend Renee  because I had been following him on Pinterest (whoa, long story.  Sorry, I digressed).  Anyway, Eva asked me if I would be a Guest Designer on her challenge blog called " Can You Case It? ".  I was honored to be asked and  said "sure"..."no problem"..."I'd be honored"...blah, blah, blah.  Then I found out that I wasn't really "casing" something already made.  I was given a "sketch" to "case"!   To be honest - I HATE SKETCHES!  LOL So I sat myself down and had a little conversation with myself.  I told myself, "self, sometimes you just have to face your fears, face those things that make you squirm, and sweat, and put fear into your creative thought process".  But I did it.  And, I have to admit, it was a lot more fun than I expected.  Maybe I be taking part in other sketches down the ...
