Can You Case It No. 69 (CYCI) Baby Card

Image
Happy Sunday everyone!!  It's been a busy week for me. I am still working away at that baby album, my allergies have kept me busy grabbing tissues for days now, and Ruy returned from the USA and we have been trying to upload all of the stuff to the website.  And, of course, I am itching to play with all the new Memory Box dies and a stash of new stuff from Reverse Confetti (one of my new favorite companies) - but do not have the time yet.  I cannot wait to start sharing some of my projects using their products!   But I did find time to make a quick and easy card for this week's CanYouCaseIt? Challenge No. 69 .  I finally got to use a mini baby blueprints set from Tim Holtz.  You can make this card in less than 15 minutes.  I swear!!! I started with dark blue cardstock, 4.25" x 11", folded in half, and used it as a top fold card base. Then I adhered a piece of light blue cardstock 4" x 5.25" to the front.  Then adhered a piece...

Can You Case It? Sketch No. 68

Image
Good morning everyone!!  I hope everyone has had a great week!  I have been very creative this past week.  I had the card for today finished days before I expected, which gave me the time to start a baby mini album.  It is not yet finished but I got the outside cover done and a few pages. If you check yesterday's post, you can see what I have done so far.  I love making these books!!  Well, today is Sunday, which means - another CanYouCaseIt.com Challenge !!  This week it's a sketch. Have I mentioned how much I hate sketches?  LOL.  This one looked so easy yet I still had a hard time getting it done.  I think the simpler it is, the harder it is for me to do it.  But I did... For this card I started with an A2 card base of white cardstock, top folded.  Then I adhered a piece of decorative scrap paper from a 6" x 6" paper pad I had laying around called Lucky Charm.  It's made by American Crafts for the Dea...

Can You Case It No. 67 - Mother's Day Inspiration

Hello everyone.  I hope you guys had a great week.  My week has been a bit crazy.  Ruy left for NYC to take care of some business, leaving me here alone in the countryside of Sao Paulo for the next 2 weeks!  Just me, 5 dogs, 3 cats, and a lot of time on my hands.  So, I am getting a few projects that have been festering in my head done and watching a few movies he would never watch - like Sharknado.  Trust me...do NOT watch this.  LOL Today is Sunday, which means it is also Can You Case It day. This week's challenge, CYCI No. 67 , is all about Mother's Day.  A few weeks ago I came across a card on Pinterest that I loved.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to re-do it as a StenDoodle with a few of my favorite stencils from StencilGirl Products .  It has been ages since I picked up a stencil and it felt great to be using a few again.  I am really pleased with how it came out and I hope you guys are too. Below is the card th...

Can You Case It (CYCI) No. 66

Good morning and happy Sunday to everyone.  Because it's Sunday, this means another Can You Case It Challenge.  This week is no. 66 and, once again, it was my choice to do whatever I wanted.  I love these weeks!! There are also 3 new amazing designers that have been added to the CYCI Design Team - Maggie Mata , Tina Riddle , and Holly Stene !  You can read more about them over at Can You Case It and make sure to enter a card in the challenge no. 66 - just click HERE ! Below is the card I made this week's challenge.  I love this card because it can be used for Mother's Day (which is coming up quickly) or for any other occasion (just change the phrase) or leave the phrase off completely and use as a quick note card.  And, you can make it in under 10 minutes! I started with an A2 Whisper White cardstock base (Stampin Up).  Cut a piece of Perfect Plum cardstock (Stampin Up) at 4" x 5.25" and adhere it to the card front.  Cu...

Can You Case It No. 65 (CYCI)

Hello everyone!  I am thrilled to announce that Can You Case It has asked me to become part of their Design Team for the next 6 months. That means [insert gulp here] that I will be making at least 1 card per week - and blogging about it.  I hope everyone joins me on this new journey.  I think it is going to be a fun ride!   For my first turn here - for the Can You Case It Challenge No. 65 - I had to make a card. Any card. Using anything I wanted.  No restrictions. Well, other than the fact that I had to make it in under 10 minutes!  WHAT?? Me??  Make a card in under 10 minutes?  It takes me an hour to figure out what stamp to use!  But I did it!!!      Step By Step: 1.  Place the heart die on the textured cardstock and run it through your die cut machine. Please the piece of white cardstock behind this piece and "lightly" trace the heart with a pencil.  Stamp the large flower image from the Elements...

Today I Am The Guest Designer Over At "Can You Case It?"

Image
I was asked by my friend Eva , who I met through my friend Justin , who I met through my friend Renee  because I had been following him on Pinterest (whoa, long story.  Sorry, I digressed).  Anyway, Eva asked me if I would be a Guest Designer on her challenge blog called " Can You Case It? ".  I was honored to be asked and  said "sure"..."no problem"..."I'd be honored"...blah, blah, blah.  Then I found out that I wasn't really "casing" something already made.  I was given a "sketch" to "case"!   To be honest - I HATE SKETCHES!  LOL So I sat myself down and had a little conversation with myself.  I told myself, "self, sometimes you just have to face your fears, face those things that make you squirm, and sweat, and put fear into your creative thought process".  But I did it.  And, I have to admit, it was a lot more fun than I expected.  Maybe I be taking part in other sketches down the ...

"Love" - Black, White and Red Valentine's Day Card

Image
Good morning everyone!  Since I am 3 hours ahead of NY, the Grammy Awards did not start until 11pm. I tried - I really tried - to get through the whole show but I crashed at 1am.  Was nice to wake up to find out that Sam Smith won 4 awards!  Now I hope that this brings him some happiness and his next album will be a bit more upbeat.  HA!  Did you guys watch? Today I have another easy Valentine's Day card.  The color scheme is black, red and white.  I am also going to enter this card into the Can You Case It Color Challenge this week that is black, red and white.  Perfect timing.  If you want to enter their challenge you can check out their website at canyoucaseit.com . How I Made The Card -  (1) Make card base.  Cut a piece of patterned Valentine's Day paper and adhere it - 4" in from the right side of the card. (2) Apply pop dots or foam tape to the back of each of the pieces of white cardstock. (...
