Equality For All | Pride 2025 | Love Knows No Limits

Image
Hello everyone.  Welcome to Week 3 of my Equality For All Cardmaking Series. Every Friday in May and June, my fellow cardmakers and I are making cards to help celebrate Pride and the LGBT+ community.  If you want more inspiration, check out the  Equality For All Makers Hop on Instagram  we had 2 weeks ago.  All the amazing cards can be seen  in  this  post on my Instagram page.   This week I made an easy rainbow colored card using an old die in my stash - Leafy Sprig Border from Poppy Stamps along with some rainbow colored paper.    Now, to make this card: I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock.  I printed one of the watercolor splash papers, die-cut a piece using a 4.25" x 5.5" stitched rectangle die, and adhered it to the card front.   I printed rainbow colored striped paper from the Pride Month Digital Paper Collection (link below).  I added 2" wide double-sided tape to the back and die...

A Not So Ordinary Valentine's Day Card

Image
Hello everyone!  January is almost over and I needed to make a Valentine's Day card for a card swap group that I am in.  I did not want to make a typical red or pink card and wanted to go with purple.   I started by going thru my paper stash.  I found a REALLY OLD (circa 2011) paper pad called "what's up" from Basic Grey with some flowered designs in purple and dark orange that I thought I could use. I made a top-folding card base of purple cardstock. Then, using my stitched rectangle die, I cut a piece of white cardstock, which I adhered on the inside and a piece of orange cardstock for the card front.  I placed the Inlay Heart Die (Poppy Stamps) on the orange cardstock, die cut it, and then adhered the orange piece to the purple card front.  Next, using the same Inlay Heart die , I cut a piece of the decorative paper.   Then I carefully glued the pieces into the card front leaving the heart areas the color ...

I Planted Some Flowers in a Coffee To Go Vase

Image
Hello everyone.  Michael here...again...with another Guest Designer project.  This is a card I have had in my head for some time now - using a "to go" cup as a vase.  Super simple to make and perfect for any sentiment or even a simple inspirational quote.   I started with a top folding A2 card base of Kraft cardstock, a piece of white cardstock cut 3" x 5.5",  a piece of black cardstock cut 3.25" x 5.5", and a piece of brown fun foam cut just a smidge smaller to adhere under the black cardstock.   Next, I die cut the Large Coffee On the Go die ( Memory Box ) using a piece of Kraft cardstock and a small piece of decorative paper.  Then I die cut Little Luxe Hello ( Poppy Stamps ) using a piece of black glitter fun foam with a piece of double-sided tape to the back. I used my Misti Stamping Tool to stamp the  Daylilies  image ( Anthony's Paper Craft ) on to the piece of white cardstock. Next, I c...

Oh Ship....I Forgot Your Birthday - With Reverse Confetti and Poppy Stamps Dies

Image
A few weeks ago, my friend Justin showed me a stamp set he had bought on Simon Says Stamp called Naughty Nautical .  One of the phrases in the set said "Oh Ship!  I forgot your birthday".  I'm sorry but that just cracked me up!  At first I was completely blank on how I could ever work this phrase into a card.  So I filed it away for future use.  The future came faster than I expected!  I had just gotten an order from Reverse Confetti and one of the dies I ordered for the store is called "Doin The Wave". Not only does the die look like bacon but it also would work as ocean waves.  This was the point when that phrase popped back into my head and, remembering that I had forgotten to send a friend a birthday card, I was now going to get this idea out of my head.  Now, since I am in Brasil and did not order this set from Simon before I left NYC, I printed the phrase on cardstock to use on the inside of the card.  I think the whole thi...
