Like Wildflowers; You Must Allow Yourself To Grow (with Coffee!)

Image
Hello everyone.  So, here it is, Tuesday night and I am trying to figure out what card to make for tomorrow.  I want it to be about coffee since the Spring | Summer 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is still going strong (850 entries so far).  But I get distracted when I am stressing myself out so I jumped on Pinterest to see if something inspired me.  The first image I saw was this quote about wildflowers growing.... ...and, lately, I have felt like this wildflower - trying to grow here in Brasil where I never thought I would.  And that sparked my idea to use flowers in a coffee cup!!!  I know...a strange path but I will not argue with fate!  LOL I pulled out two sets - Coffee Cup Clear  by  Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps  and Wildflower Set 465 by Rubbernecker Stamps , which, sadly, is no longer being made, but other flowers stamps will work just as nicely.   I started with an A2 base of white cardstock....

Coffee and "LOVE" With Debra and Celeste (Mini Blog Hop)

Hello...Hello...Hello...everyone!!  Today is a special post for me.  I was invited by my friend Debra ( Meticulosity ) , and her friend Celeste ( Crafting Junky ), to join them for some cyber coffee and to talk about "love" or, more specifically, what we "love".  Let's call this a "mini blog hop".   First off...the coffee I am drinking this beautiful morning is a cup (or 3) of Extra Strong Coffee by Melitta.  It's a brasilian coffee that is just super tasty.  Not bitter with just a hint of a chocolate taste (at least to me).   Yes, I save the box to use as a mini album cover! OK...back story.  I met Debra in a Facebook group. We both have a lot in common - making cards, coffee, donuts, zombies!  I know....crazy!  Deb asked me to pick the subject for this mini blog hop and I chose the word "love".  Love means many things to different people so I tried to make a card that included traditional love, with...

Expecting more today.  Sigh!  Today I have another cute 4" note card using a stamp from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps called Bluebird Wreath . I know that it looks like an image that should only be used for Christmas but I think it is much more versatile if you have the right sentiment and paper.   I started with a white card base - 4" x 8", scored at 4", and top folded.  To this I adhered a piece of black cardstock, 4" x 4".  Then I looked through my stash for a piece of patterned paper that had a wedding/silvery shimmer look to it, and adhered a piece - 3.75" x 3.75" to the black cardstock.   Then I grabbed my Stitched Square Stax from MFT and cut a piece of black cardstock with the 3" die and a piece of white cardstock with the 2 5/8" die.   Adhered the black cardstock to the center of the card over the paper.  Next I stamped the i...
