Using My Stash | Chipboard Dandelions | Burlap | Sentiment Strips

Image
Hey everyone.  Today, I am sharing some cards I made using these  Dandelions I found in my stash that are made by  2Crafty , an Australian chipboard company, which is still in business and you can still buy them!  Considering the state of the crafting industry, this is great news.   I bought them intending to use them on a card, but hit a brick wall and tossed them in a box.  Fast forward to 2025, and, not being a scrapbooker, I still had no idea what to do with them. Story of my life.  So, I jumped on Pinterest and, after searching a bit for "dandelion card ideas", I stumbled on these cards, which I decided to case.  The link on Pinterest does not take you to these cards specifically, but to the YouTube channel called GSCraft , an artist in Pakistan, who must have made them (it's important to give credit when I can).   The photo below shows a rough sketch of the idea in my head with most of the supplies I will use to make them - t...

Steampunk Easter Egg Ornament

Image
I have to admit that I am NOT a "Steampunk" person. I do love doodads and whatchamacallits.  To collect. In a drawer. Or glass jar. To admire.  This project started because we sell these chipboard gears in our store and they had been whispering in my ears for weeks!  I just had to use them.  We had also just gotten in a shipment of embossing enamels from Stampendous and I wondered how the chipboard would look with the enamels.  So I started to play.  I have no idea what part of my brain this project came out of but I really love the end result.   The ornament is about to take a journey across the ocean to a very special person in New Jersey that loves Steampunk!!  I hope Toniann Carbone loves admiring it as much as I loved making it for her!!   Although the gears I used in this project are made by a Brasilian company, and I was on the fence about whether or not to post this step by step. But, since there are plenty of compani...

Momento Divertido Design Team Member

Hey everyone.  Been too long since I last posted.  Am back in Brasil now - pretty much permanently - and have a lot of projects in the works.  Now that ALL of my rubber stamps, papers, inks, markers, etc. are here with me, I will be posting much more often!!   My big announcement today is that I have been asked to be on the  design team for Momento  Divertido - a company here in Brasil that makes chipboard pieces for the scrapper, stamper, and altered artist.  Dani and Fabio, who own the company, have become good friends with us and we've been selling their products here in the store.  I was never much of a chipboard user in my work but I love their designs and the ideas really flow here.  Their website, if you want to check it out is www.momentodivertido.com.br.   My first post to their blog -  http://time-momentodivertido.blogspot.com.br/  - will be on September 30th.  I will be posting on their blog in Portuguese ...
