Using My Stash | Chipboard Dandelions | Burlap | Sentiment Strips
I bought them intending to use them on a card, but hit a brick wall and tossed them in a box. Fast forward to 2025, and, not being a scrapbooker, I still had no idea what to do with them. Story of my life. So, I jumped on Pinterest and, after searching a bit for "dandelion card ideas", I stumbled on these cards, which I decided to case. The link on Pinterest does not take you to these cards specifically, but to the YouTube channel called GSCraft, an artist in Pakistan, who must have made them (it's important to give credit when I can).
The photo below shows a rough sketch of the idea in my head with most of the supplies I will use to make them - the Dandelion chipboard from 2Crafty, a piece of burlap paper from my stash, Unicorn Pigment Ink from Hero Arts, some rectangle and circle dies, the Deck Plannks 3D Embossing Folder from Altenew, and some sentiment strips.
- Using white cardstock, I made 2 card bases - a top-folding A2 card and a top-folding 4.5" x 4.5" card.
- I embossed the dandelion chipboard pieces using the Unicorn pigment ink and embossed them with white embossing powder. If you do not have the Unicorn pigment ink or a white pigment ink, you can emboss them using Versamark ink and emboss with a white embossing powder.
- I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a 3.75" x 5" stitched rectangle die, die-cut a circle using a 3.25" circle die, and embossed it using the Deck Planks 3D embossing folder.
- I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a 4"square die, die-cut a circle using a 3.5" circle die, and embossed it using the Deck Planks 3D embossing folder.
- I cut two pieces of the burlap paper - 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" and 3 5/8" x 4 3/4".
- I adhered the burlap to each card front, the embossed white pieces next, and then the embossed dandelions, cutting off any excess on the bottom.
- Lastly, I printed two sentiments from a collage sheet in my stash, layered them on a piece of white cardstock I had die-cut using a stitched banner die, and adhered them to the card fronts using foam tape.
I hope you have enjoyed these two card ideas. Maybe you have stuff in your stash you can use to make one like what I made. Remember to use your stash!! Until next time...

ReplyDeleteLove those dandelions and how you used them on your card, like a beautiful spotlight. It always feels good to take something out of a stash and put them to such good use.
