Woodblock Wednesday Card | Life's A Beach | Use Your Stash
Hello everyone, and welcome to another Woodblock Wednesday - the day of the week we set aside to give some love to woodblock stamps that we have not used in some time. I am joining my friend Amy, who posts a Woodblock Wednesday card to her blog on the last Wednesday of each month.
For today's card, I used 2 woodblock stamps from my stash. One is a white dude (ME) on a beach sipping a fully loaded alcoholic drink. This stamp has no name and it was made by The Stamp Barn out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The other is a stamp was made by Putting on the Ritz and says "Life's a Beach". Both companies are long out of business.
- I stamped the guy on the beach on white cardstock, colored the image with BIC Intensity Ultra Fine Tip markers, and die-cut it using a 3.25" x 4.5" stitched rectangle die.
- I added white glue to the areas of the image where I wanted sand, sprinkled on real sand, knocked off the excess, and allowed it to fully dry.
While the sand was drying, I made my card base.
- I made my top-folding A2 card using white cardstock.
- For my 2 paper layers - the water and the sand - I used 2 digital papers from The Good Life March Beach Add On from digitalscrapbook.com. After printing them, I die-cut the water using a 4.25" x 5.5" stitched rectangle die and a 3.75" x 5" stitched rectangle die to cut the sand - both from Pink & Main.
- When the sand was dry, I adhered a piece of fun foam the back, and then to the card front on top of the sand paper.
- I stamped Life's a Beach, die-cut it using a speech bubble die, and adhered that to the card front.
- For the inside, I found the perfect digital sentiment, also on digitalscrapbook.com, and I printed it on white cardstock, die-cut it, and adhered it to the inside of the card.
Here's the finished card - front and inside.
Now it's your turn. Go grab some of your woodblock stamps and make a card. Remember to link it to Amy's blog post for a chance to win the giveaway. Until next time...
Hugs from Brasil.
