Kind Words Are The Blossoms In The Garden

Image
Hello everyone.  I hope everyone is safe and sound.  It's getting crazier and crazier here in Brasil with numbers going up daily, instability in the government, a lack of leadership...but there really isn't anything for me to do other than keep trekking along and make stuff!  Also, I think I am just bored and would really love to just meet some people for coffee or a burger.  Today's card is my Design Team project for the If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge Blog .  This week we are up to Challenge No. 144 and it's all about flowers or Spring.  If you want to play along with us, and I hope you do, below is the inspiration photo that the team had to work with when making their projects.   I love using flower stamps on cards and I can honestly say that I had over a week's worth of ideas for this challenge.  Hmmm...maybe this will be a week of flower cards.  I decided to use one of the 3 beautiful Floral Backgrounds  from Anthony's...

Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop - Day 4 - Poinsettia in a Cup

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to Day 4 of the  Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop .   You might have already seen this card because it's part of my earlier post today called Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - May 2020 Edition .  But I wanted to make a stand-alone post for the Coffee Hop also.  Today's card uses two stamps from Anthony's Paper Craft and a retired cup/mug die from Memory Box. I made a top folding A2 card to which I adhered a piece of red cardstock and then a piece of decorative holiday paper that I cut with a stitched rectangle die.   Using the  Cozy Mugs  set from  Memory Box , I cut the middle-sized mug out of decorative paper and adhered it to the card front with foam tape.   Then I stamped the  Poinsettia  image from  Anthony's Paper Craft  on to white cardstock, cut it with my Scan N Cut, colored it using Copic markers, and adhered it to the card front using foam tape. ...

Peace Love Joy Christmas Card with Anthony's Paper Craft

Image
Hello everyone!!  Happy Saturday!!  Is everyone done with their Black Friday purchases?  I've actually been good.  I used up a gift card I had from Simon Says Stamp with their Thanksgiving sale and I picked up a digital template from Jen Of Eve Designs on Etsy.  But the weekend is not over yet and anything is possible.  LOL I made two more using Christmas Set 1 from Anthony's Paper Craft .  Both have a more traditional look but are super simple cards to make.   I started by adhering a piece of decorative paper to the front of top-folding A2 card bases.   Then I  stamped the images - the candles with the pinecones and the bell with the holly, on to a piece of white cardstock, colored them using Ultra Fine Tip BIC Markers, and then, die-cut them using the 2nd largest die from the Pierced Rectangles STAX from My Favorite Things.   Then, using the largest die from the same set, I die cut two pi...

Christmas Card - Basket of Holly - Anthony's Paper Craft

Image
Hello everyone!  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving - at least those that celebrate the holiday.  I do miss Thanksgiving and all the smells that go along with it.  Although Thanksgiving is not a Brasilian holiday, Ruy and I did make a small turkey with some sides and we enjoyed a nice meal.      It's a bit hot here and I am trying to get into the holiday spirit.  So I pulled out some Christmas and Chanukah stamp sets from Anthony's Paper Craft to play with.  For today's card, I used the holly in a basket image from Christmas Set 1  to make a more traditional but super simple card.    I started by adhering a piece of "Tis The Season" (CMR9487) from PhotoPlay's Christmas Memories Collection , to the front of my top-folding A2 card base.  I also stamped the holly in the basket image using Jet Black Amalgam Ink (Gina K. Designs) on a piece of white cardstock and cut it out using a stitched rectangle die....

Colorful Coffee Cards Three Ways with Anthony's Paper Craft

Image
Hello everyone.  Today I have 3 cards using the same stamp set - Coffee 2 from Anthony's Paper Craft .  I think it's great to get lots of cards from one stamp set and this is one of them.  OK, the 3 cards are different, yet similar, and I did use the same "to go" image on each of the cards, but it's so easy to color and cut out.  LOL Each of the cards is a top folding 5.25" square card.   For the first card, I started with my card base, a piece of white cardstock cut to 4.5" square, a piece of white fun foam 4.25" square, a piece of dark brown cardstock 1.5" x 4.5", and some coffee bean washi tape I had in my stash. Next, I adhered the strip of brown cardstock to the front of th e white square,  ran the washi tape along the top and bottom of the brown cardstock, adhered the fun foam to the back, and then I adhered this to the card front.  Then I stamped the small "to go" cup from Coffee 2 from Anthony...
