The Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas | October 2025 Edition | Hanukkah Cards

Hello everyone, and welcome to the October 2026 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with Deb and Lisa.  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we (the Crafty Elves) post one or more holiday cards, hoping to inspire you to make your own.

I've been a really bad Jew this year and have neglected to make many Hanukkah cards.  I think it's because most of the Hanukkah papers I see all begin to look the same.  But with AI being adopted by so many Etsy sellers, I have started seeing some beautiful papers sold that are perfect to use for cards or albums.

One collection I recently found and fell in love with is THIS collection of 111 Watercolor Hanukkah/Chanukah Digital Papers from Old Market on Etsy - and this is what I used for the 4 cards I made for today's post.

 Cards 1 and 2

To make these cards:

  • I made two top-folding A2 cards - one in navy blue, the other silver.
  • I printed the two images I wanted to use - one was a menorah, the other a set of dreidels.  I die-cut each of them using a stitched rectangle die, adhered a piece of fun foam to the back, and then I adhered one to each card front.
  • I typed and printed my sentiments, layered them on stitched banners, and then to the card fronts.
  • For the menorah card, I added yellow stickles on the candle flames.
Card 3

To make this card:

  • I made a top-folding 5" square card using navy blue cardstock.
  • I cut a piece of silver cardstock, 4.75" square, and adhered it to the card front.
  • I printed the image I wanted to use, trimmed it to a 4.5" square, adhered a piece of fun foam to the back, and then I adhered it to the card front.
  • I typed and printed my sentiment, layered it on a navy blue stitched banner, and then to the card front.
Card No. 4

To make this card:

  • I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock.
  • I die-cut a piece of navy blue cardstock using a 4.25" x 5.5" stitched rectangle die, which I adhered to the card front.
  • I printed the image I wanted to use, a floral frame, die-cut it using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, adhered a piece of fun foam to the back, and then to the card front.
  • Using the Happy Hanukkah Die from Paper Trey Ink, I die-cut several pieces of white cardstock, adhered them together, heat embossed it using Royal Twinkle Embossing Powder from Judikins (from my stash), and then adhered it to the center of the frame.
It felt great to get some Hanukkah cards made.  These are so fast and easy to put together too.  There are so many beautiful images to use, it's hard to decide.  I hope these ideas inspire you to start making your own holiday cards this year.  Next, go check out what the other Crafty Elves have made.  All our social media links are below.
