TGIF everyone!!!  Man, today took forever to get here.  This was a crazy week - filled with more clouds and rain than I ever wanted - and I am shocked I actually got this card done in time.  This week's challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper Challenge is Challenge No. 74 - Clean & Simple Christmas -  To make my card I started with a top folding A2 card base of white cardstock. To the front I adhered a piece of decorative paper with a Christmas feel to it.  Then I cut a piece of red cardstock, 4" x 5.25", which I adhered to the card front. Good morning world!!  TGIF!!  So many things going on today.....the exciting thing for me is that tonight, Wizard Cosmopolis, one of the language schools here in town (and, yes, a subsidiary of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry), is hosting a "Food Truck".  They are not as big here as in the states and it will bring a fun NYC feel here to this town - even if for just a few hours.   Then, after that, it's the Opening Ceremony for the Olympics.  I know they are getting a lot of bad press but I think every 4 years, whatever country is hosting them, get bad press.   I am not going to any of it but hope it all turns out well and that both the USA and Brasil win lots of Gold!!  And it's fun to be in the host city.   Now...for today's card...this week on the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog , their Challenge #44 is a color challenge - lime green, aqua blue, and neutral.  Let me be the first to admit that I am color challenged.  I...

Brasilian Thank You Card

Hello everyone!!  I am still fighting this cold, which I seem to have gotten at the Mega Craft Show last week.  I am not complaining since it has given me a very sexy voice.  LOL. But I do hope I am over this soon.   Just so you know up front - I totally got the idea for today's card from Pinterest!  This is one of those cards I keep seeing - with bright colors and ink splat stamps.  I just needed to get this out of my system. I made this card for a customer who likes my cards and I cannot wait for her to get it.    I just wish I had gotten a better photo of the final card before I sent it off!!   I also got to use some brand new inks by Susan K. Weckesser , which are made by  Clear Snap  under the Color Box brand.  I have more to say about these inks in this Saturday's post.   I started with a top folding A2 white cardstock card base.  Then I used different splatter stamps from the Distressed Pattern...
