Hello everyone!! I am still fighting this cold, which I seem to have gotten at the Mega Craft Show last week. I am not complaining since it has given me a very sexy voice. LOL. But I do hope I am over this soon.
Just so you know up front - I totally got the idea for today's card from Pinterest! This is one of those cards I keep seeing - with bright colors and ink splat stamps. I just needed to get this out of my system. I made this card for a customer who likes my cards and I cannot wait for her to get it. I just wish I had gotten a better photo of the final card before I sent it off!!
I also got to use some brand new inks by Susan K. Weckesser, which are made by Clear Snap under the Color Box brand. I have more to say about these inks in this Saturday's post.
I started with a top folding A2 white cardstock card base. Then I used different splatter stamps from the Distressed Patterns set (by MFT) with 4 different inks - Chrome Yellow Archival Ink, and then Susan's Color Pop inks in Ice (blue), Fresh (green), and Kiss (red).
To get the letters to spell out the word O-B-R-I-G-A-D-O, I used the Letter Board Die from Your Next Stamp (such a great die). I first die cut the whole die and then I went back and just die cut the letter O.
I removed the letters I needed and placed tiny pop dots on the back of each one. (Keep the inside sections as you need them for the next step).
Then I adhered each of the letters to the card front over the ink splatters. I played around with different variations until I found the one I liked the best. Then I went back in and glued the center pieces for the O, B, R, A, D, and O.
That's it. Done! The Letter Board die from YNS is so versatile since you can use the letters to spell out any word you need. This card can easily be turned into a birthday card or an anniversary card.
I hope you enjoyed this card and step by step. Let me know by leaving a comment below. Until next time -
Hugs from Brasil -
Michael
