The "Love Wins" Instagram Hop

Image
Hello everyone.  I am honored to be taking part in the "Love Wins" Instagram Hop.   The purpose of this hop is to support and bring awareness to LGBT+ creators and craft companies that support the community. I decided to also do a blog post for those that would like a more detailed step by step of how I made cards or the products I used.  BUT...in order to participate in the hop and be eligible to win some amazing prizes, please go check out my IG Page - HERE - for all the details.   The hop runs from today, February 14, 2021 (Valentine's Day) until Saturday, February 20, 2121 and there are some really cool giveaways to win.  I was asked to make 1 card but I ended up making 3 cards.  I guess you can call this blog post "Love Wins Three Ways" and I hope y'all like what I created.   My cards were really all inspired by  THIS art print that I found on Etsy a few weeks ago by chance.  {If you love it, go buy it!} As soon a...

Quick Stenciled Thank You Cards

Image
TGIF everyone!!  What a crazy week this has been.  Crazy in that no matter what I tried to get started or finished, something else jumped in my way and I got derailed!  I am really looking forward to a nice easy going weekend.  I hope!!     Yesterday a bunch of packages had to go out and I wanted to include a "thank you" note but I did not want to spend forever making a card.  While I was cleaning up my station I noticed a pile of stencils from StencilGirl Products sitting next to my case of distress inks and...well...this idea popped into my head.  I made 4 cards in less than 15 minutes - and so can you - let me show you how easy this is! I started with a scrap piece of white cardstock that was laying around.  I also grabbed a bunch of my mini distress inks (salty ocean, seedless preserves, cracked pistachio, fired brick, mustard seed, spiced marmalade, and blueprint sketch) and a bunch of stencils from StencilGirl Products . ...

Noah And His Ark of Critters (And My Obsession With Noah's Ark)

Image
Happy Labor Day everyone (in the states).  Here it is just another regular Monday for me.  So....I admit it....I have an obsession with anything to do with Noah's Ark. I have no idea why.  I do remembering reading the story as a kid and just fell in love with it. Considering my love of all animals, it's really not that odd. Right?  I have several puzzles of Noah's Ark (that I will probably not get to put together until I retire) and a box of Noah stamps, most of which have never had ink put to the rubber -   But that all changes today as I finally ink up one of these babies and enter this in the  Retro Rubber Challenge 46 - Critter Time ! I started with a top folding A2 card base of navy blue cardstock.  To that I adhered a piece of light blue plaid patterned paper that went well with the theme of the card.   Next, I used two Lawn Fawn dies - Stitched Journaling Card and Ocean Wave Borders .  With the Stitched Jour...

Woven Ribbons Note Cards with Frantic Stamper - Part II

Image
Hello everyone.  I hope everyone survived their Monday and that their week has started well.  Yesterday it pretty much rained all day and I had some issues with a card.  Did you ever try to make the simplest of cards and it's just one problem after another?  I had that yesterday.  I did finally get the card done and will post it tomorrow.  But for today we have a very short post!!   So, remember the card I made yesterday (click HERE to the card) and all those little pieces of black paper I had?  Well I figured out what to do with them. After I removed all the small pieces on yesterday's card I had the one big outline piece. So I made an A2 card and adhered a piece of black cardstock to the card front.  Then I adhered this outline piece to the black cardstock and then inserted each of the black pieces that I saved from the first card.   Now, I know you are asking....why use the pieces of black cardstock if the card base is ...

Faux Washi Tape Note Cards with Unity Stamp Co. and Lawn Fawn

Happy Monday everyone.  What a strange weekend.  It was so hot here that it felt like the whole town was sleeping.  Even the dogs were being quiet.  LOL.  I did get a chance to catch up with some friends - Justin, who is really not happy about how cold it is in NY and my friend Laurey who lives up in Toronto and she is REALLY not happy since it's even colder up there.  I will not complain since I got to hit the pool both days this weekend.   The note cards I made above for today's post were inspired by this card that I found on Pinterest -  and which is the creation of Christine Drogt.  She posted it to her blog back in 2012 and you can see her original post by clicking HERE ! I loved how she used washi tapes with different colors and patterns as the background and then just die cut through them all.  Seeing this card reminded me that I had a set of rubber stamps of different washi tape designs called " A Little Bit...
