Cuppa Joe Card With The Paper Players

Image
Hello everyone.  I have some friends here that have a rubber stamp company and I am in love with so many of Fran's images.  I was able to get some from her when I saw her at the Mega Artesenal last week and was very happy to put some ink to one of them today for this week's challenge over on The Paper Players Challenge Blog .   This week's challenge - No. 354 - is a sketch -   I started with a top folding A2 card base to which I adhered a piece of designer paper that I had in my stash.  I love these warm "coffee" colors.     Since I did not have the phrase I wanted to use in a stamp, I created it on the computer and printed it on white cardstock.  Then I cut the cardstock to 2.5" x 5.5" and stamped the coffee cup with the hearts 3 times across the center, above the phrase, and then colored them in with some Copic markers.   After this I cut a piece of dark brown fun foam, which I adhered under the white cardstock. ...

Paper Players Challenge 310 - Happiness is....Cupcakes!

Hello everyone - again!  I know...2 posts in one day.  I made another card today so that I could play along with some of my friends on  The Paper Players Challenge Blog .  Since the challenge ends tomorrow at Noon (PST), I decided to upload this now in case someone wants to make a card too.  This week's  Challenge No. 310  is a sketch by Nance - and a really easy one to work with - After going through my stash of papers to find a design that was talking to me, I settled on a cupcake theme for my card and I already knew the perfect sentiment for it too.  I started with a top folding A2 card base of Kraft cardstock. Then, using a solid pink cardstock that went well with the designer paper, I cut two pieces, 3.5" x 4" and 1 5/8" x 4", distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and adhered them to the card front, following the sketch.  Then, using the design on the back of Cupcakes Creme by Arte Facil Artesanato , a Brasilia...

30 Day Coloring Challenge Day 2

Image
Good day everyone.  Hope your Thursday went well.  Considering that I thought it was Wednesday, mine well very well.  I gained a day.  LOL.  But today is the best day of the week - FRIDAY - and I have a card for Day 2 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge over at The Daily Marker.  I used the same sketch as yesterday's card and plan on entering this one in The Paper Players challenge too.   I won't bother you with the step by step since it's basically the same as yesterday .  The only big change is that I used the largest and second largest dies from a set of Stitched Jumbo Fishtail dies instead of the scalloped piece in the center.  And I used Stitched Rectangles for the image and the piece of black cardstock right behind the image.   Here is a closer look at the adorable image on the card -  I just wanted to show another way to go with the sketch.  I hope you like this card.  I have a list below of the supp...

30 Day Coloring Challenge and The Paper Players Challenge No. 264

Image
Good day everyone!!  Yesterday I shocked myself by making 4 cards!!  Crazy.  The creative mojo was certainly flowing and I think someone was sending mojo vibes my way. LOL.  I love it when I make something and can use it in more than one way.  Today's card is being used for The Daily Marker's 30 Day Coloring Challenge and for The Paper Players Challenge No. 264.   The Daily Marker , a blog run by Kathy Racoosin, is hosting her 3rd - 30 Day Coloring Challenge . I met Kathy during my trip to NYC this past summer when she stopped into The Ink Pad .  She is a lovely person and she loves to color as much as I do and she finds time each day to do some.  Me?  I don't find as much time as she does - but I want to.  The challenge is to color something every day for 30 days.  I am going to do my best to achieve this goal!!  I have some ideas for projects that might take a few days to finish but I will post my progress on those...
