Cuppa Joe Card With The Paper Players

Hello everyone.  I have some friends here that have a rubber stamp company and I am in love with so many of Fran's images.  I was able to get some from her when I saw her at the Mega Artesenal last week and was very happy to put some ink to one of them today for this week's challenge over on The Paper Players Challenge Blog.

This week's challenge - No. 354 - is a sketch -

I started with a top folding A2 card base to which I adhered a piece of designer paper that I had in my stash.  I love these warm "coffee" colors.

Since I did not have the phrase I wanted to use in a stamp, I created it on the computer and printed it on white cardstock.  Then I cut the cardstock to 2.5" x 5.5" and stamped the coffee cup with the hearts 3 times across the center, above the phrase, and then colored them in with some Copic markers.

After this I cut a piece of dark brown fun foam, which I adhered under the white cardstock.  Then I adhered these to a piece of darker brown cardstock, 2.75" x 5.5", which I then adhered to the card front.

The last thing I did was to apply some Clear Wink of Stella to the hearts and the cups to give them a shimmer - and I was done!

A super simple card to make and the cups can be any colors you want.  Of course now I want a cuppa Joe!  LOL  Let me know what you think of the card by leaving me comments below.  Hope you enjoyed this card.  Until next time -

Hugs from Brasil -

Michael

Thanks for making me LOL! I so "get" that sentiment and have a few friends who would appreciate it, too. I love the background and the bright pops of color. So glad you joined us at the Paper Players this week

  3. There's so much to love about your card, Michael. The distressed looking paper in the background is a great foil for the crisp, clean central panel. I really think that your sentiment is so good that your friend should add it to her collection -
perhaps with a companion that swaps 'coffee' for 'wine'! Thanks so much for sharing your creation and joining us at The Paper Players this week.
