Day 7 of 30 Days of Halloween/Autumn Cards | Happy Thanksgiving | Technique Junkies

Hello everyone and welcome to Day 7 of my 30 Days of Halloween/Autumn Cards. Today I have a Thanksgiving card for you using 2 stamps from  Technique Junkies  - Overlapping Leaves and Happy Thanksgiving .   If you would like to make this card or one like it, this is what I did:  I made a top folding A2 card base by cutting a piece of wine colored cardstock, 5.5" x 8.5", placed the long side along the top of my scoring tool, scored at 4.25", burnished well, and you have your card base. I die-cut a piece of orange cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die and adhered that to the card front. Then I stamped Overlapping Leaves on a piece of scrapbook paper that had orange tones/designs on it.  This way, no coloring necessary!   I die-cut this using a 3.75" x 5" stitched rectangle die, adhered a piece of black fun foam to the back, and then to the card front.  I stamped Happy Thanksgving on a piece of white cardstock, colored in ...

Hello everyone!  It's time for a new challenge over on the If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge Blog and we are up to Challenge No. 127 - and it's all about autumn, autumn colors, leaves, and acorns.   Here is the inspiration photo the design team had to work with if you wish to play along with us -  When I saw this photo, the first thing I thought of was the Leaf/Fern set from Anthony's Paper Craft , which is what I used on all 3 cards.  Also, on all 3 cards, I started with a  top folding A2 card base of white cardstock and all the cube inks used are from Gina K. Designs - Sweet Corn , Tangerine Twist , Prickly Pear , and Jet Black Amalgam Ink .     For the first card I blended Vintage Photo Distress Ink over a checkerboard stencil.  Then I stamped the oak leaf with the Vintage Photo ink and, using a water brush I colored the leaf with the Sweet Corn and Tangerine Twist inks.  Once dry, I stamped Happy T...

Give Thanks/Fall Card with Anthony's Paper Craft

Hello everyone!!  Is everyone enjoying the Fall season yet?  Here in the countryside of São Paulo, it's been overcast and chilly.  We went from 100 degrees last week to 60 this week.  And we are NOT in Fall but into Spring now.   But, keeping in line with the chill in the air this week, today's card is an autumn-themed card using a beautiful set called Leaf/Fern Set  from Anthony's Paper Craft . I started by making a top folding A2 card from white cardstock.  I found a nice design from a digital paper pack called Honey Honey by Samantha Walker.  I printed it out and adhered it to the card front. Using Coffee Archival Ink, I stamped one of the leaves on to another piece of white cardstock 1.5" x 5.25".  Then, using Tombow markers 946, 025, and 055, I blended the colors on the leaves.   Next, I adhered this to a piece of brown cardstock and then to the card front.  From a sticker pack I had in m...

Being Thankful with Retro Rubber Challenge No. 51

Hello everyone!  Although I have been really busy it seems I cannot get anything done!  Ever have one of those weeks? LOL.  I wanted to share some photos I took last Saturday of a farm Ruy and I went to explore with hopes of taking photos there of the Super Moon.  But it rained both days and it was a total bust.  But it was a fun day trip.   First we got a bit lost on one of the sugarcane plantations.  So I got out to take a panorama photo.      We were in total cow, horse, mule, bull country!! (I know my friend Toniann will like this photo). I also got some other cool photos of textures, etc.  But I am still working on them and will share soon. Now for today's card.  Over at the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog they are having Challenge No. 51 , which is all about Being Grateful with a photo for inspiration -  I started with a beautiful background stamp that I have owned for YEARS! Crazy, I kno...

TGIF everyone!!  Today is the first day in about a week that we have no rain, the sun is shining bright and there are fluffy white clouds in the sky.  It has poured every night this week with major thunder and lightening too.  And, of course, electric on and off.  But it looks like it's going to be a great weekend.   I cannot believe it is almost Halloween!  This year has flown by.  Although this is not today's card, I wanted to share a Halloween card that I made the other day. I used a new Prima doll image called Bootiful, some really old QuicKutz dies of a cemetery and bats, and a giant moon out of yellow glittered fun foam.   Now for today's card, which is perfect for two card challenges going on.  This week's Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #71  had some funky colors to work with - mint, rust and mustard - perfect autumn colors .   And the Retro Rubber Challenge #50 - is Fall colors!  Perfect.  One c...
