Ruff Morning? Coffee Helps | KCS Designs by Kim DT Project | Dog/Coffee-Themed Card

Image
Hey y'all.  When Kim at KCS Designs by Kim released the Coffeehouse Canines Clip Art  in her KCS Designs by Kim Etsy store , I knew it would work perfectly with the Cute European Shops in her KCS Designs Ko-Fi Shop , and I had to get this card out of my head.  The kits in her Ko-Fi Shop are free.  Just so y'all know.  I printed the coffeehouse in the Cute European Shops - twice.  I fussy-cut one of the images in full and, from the 2nd image, I only fussy-cut the awnings, front door, sign, and plant.     I printed and fussy-cut the chihuahua from Coffeehouse Canines Clip Art.   I adhered the awning, door, sign, and plant using foam squares.    I made a 5" square top-folding card using green cardstock that best blended with the green in the awnings.   I cut a 5"x 5" piece of white cardstock, embossed it with the Cross Weaves 3D embossing folder from Altenew, adhered a piece of white fun foam to the back, then to ...

Happy 250th Birthday USA | Slimline Card | KCS Designs by Kim DT Project

Image
Hey everyone.  Well, it's the July 4th weekend in America.  Sadly, I am not there to enjoy the fireworks and the heatwave.  This is one of my favorite holidays, and I miss being in NY for it.  To help celebrate, I made this slimline card to help celbrate the 250th birthday of the USA.   I used two images from the Painted Americana Clip Art set from KCS Designs by Kim on Etsy.  To help celebrate even more, KCS is having a 50% off sale through July 5th, 2026.  As you know, I am on the Design Team for KCS, and if you have loved any of my cards, this is a great time to stock up on digital papers, clipart, ephemera, folio kits...you name it.   To make this card: I die-cut a piece of red cardstock using a 3" x 7.5" stitched slimline die.  Then I die-cut the stars in the red cardstock using the Stars Background Slimline Die from Creative Expressions.   I cut a piece of glittered white fun foam and adhered it to the back o...

Happy Pork of July | July 4th Card | Pig Card | KCS Designs by Kim DT Video Project

Image
Hey everyone.  I may not live in the USA anymore but I still love to make cards for July 4th and, honestly, miss this holiday.  I have loved pigs since a kid and have a large selection of pig rubber stamps but, this "Happy Pork of July" stamp is my favorite.  It's been in my stash forever - it was made by Hambo in 2009.  Even though I can only use it for one holiday a year, it's a keeper. Do you guys have a stamp like this in your stash? If you would like to see how I made the card, below is my video on my World of Michael Trent YouTube Channel .   To make this card: I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock. Using a 4.25" x 5.5" stitched rectangle die, I die-cut a piece of dark blue cardstock. Using a 3.75" x 5" stitched rectangle die, I die-cut a piece of white and a piece of red cardstock.  I embossed all 3 pieces with the Lots of Stars embossing folder from Taylored Expressions.  It's several years old and hard to find.  But you...

July 4th Card No. 1 Using Painted Americana Clip Art | KCS Designs by Kim DT Project

Image
Hello everyone.  I may not be living in the USA anymore, but I am still an American and, to be honest, I really miss the 4th of July, the fireworks, the beach, and the BBQs.  I still love making cards to help celebrate the holiday and, over the next few days, I will be posting a few.  Today is the first card.    All of the cards I will be using these digital products from KCS Designs by Kim.   The images I am using are from the Painted Americana Clip Art set from the KCS Designs by Kim Etsy store.  The papers I am using are from a FREE 4th of July Papers kit from the KCS Designs Ko-Fi  page.  Everything in her shop is FREE and you only need to enter $0.00 to get the item.  If you want, you can pay for the item - any amount you want, even $1 - to show your appreciation to the seller.  But they are FREE!  These are the papers in the collection. To make my card: I made a 5.5" x 5.5" card base using white cardstock.  T...

Cozy Chapters Reading/Beach Card | KCS Designs by Kim DT Project

Image
Hello everyone.  Today I want to share a card I made using two new releases from KCS Designs by Kim on Etsy.  One of the new releases is Cozy Chapters Clip Art , which has 15 images of women reading in different locations - a cafe, the beach, on a train, on a windowsill, and others, and Word Snippets Books & Reading Phrases , a set of 40 sentiments related to books and reading.  Cozy Chapters Clip Art Word Snippets Books & Reading Phrases Digital Set Because some of the images are of women reading and drinking a coffee, or tea, or cocoa, the Word Snippets Coffee Phrases set would also work well with them.   Word Snippets Coffee Phrases Digital Set I have a video on my YouTube Channel - World of Michael Trent - showing how I made the card. As I explain in the video, I was not happy with the first card I made because of the light blue card base and the waves embossed in white.  That's why I redid the card using darker cardstock.  This is how I ...

He Made It / She Made It | International Tea Day | KCS Designs by Kim DT Project

Image
Hey y'all.  Did you know that today is International Tea Day?  Yup...it was established by the United Nations as an annual celebration of tea's cultural heritage, immense economic impact, and vital role in rural livelihoods worldwide.   To help celebrate, my friend Debra, of Meticulosity , and I are doing another He Made It / She Made It collaboration and making some fun tea cards.  And, if you want to read more about today's holiday, just click HERE . My card uses one of the images from Whimsical Tea and Tales Clip Art by KCS Designs by Kim on Etsy, along with a tea sentiment from an old set by Fiskars called Latte Love .   I printed one of the images from the Whimsical Tea and Tales Clip Art twice at 75%, on white cardstock.  One image will be my focal point, and the other image I plan to fussy-cut the small flowers.   I die-cut (a) the part of the image I want on my card front using a stitched circle die; (b) a piece of pink cardstock us...
