He Made It / She Made It | International Tea Day | KCS Designs by Kim DT Project

Hey y'all.  Did you know that today is International Tea Day?  Yup...it was established by the United Nations as an annual celebration of tea's cultural heritage, immense economic impact, and vital role in rural livelihoods worldwide.  To help celebrate, my friend Debra, of Meticulosity, and I are doing another He Made It / She Made It collaboration and making some fun tea cards.  And, if you want to read more about today's holiday, just click HERE.

My card uses one of the images from Whimsical Tea and Tales Clip Art by KCS Designs by Kim on Etsy, along with a tea sentiment from an old set by Fiskars called Latte Love.

  • I printed one of the images from the Whimsical Tea and Tales Clip Art twice at 75%, on white cardstock.  One image will be my focal point, and the other image I plan to fussy-cut the small flowers.
  • I die-cut (a) the part of the image I want on my card front using a stitched circle die; (b) a piece of pink cardstock using the next sized die; (c) a piece of white cardstock with a stitched rectange die, which I also embossed it with an embossing folder from Anna Griffin/Cuttlebug; (d) a piece if white fun foam; and (e) a piece of fun foam usng the small circle die.

  • I adhered the white cardstock to the back of my embossed white piece.  Then I adhered the round fun foam under my main image, and then to the pink circle cardstock.  Then I adhered the circle pieces to the embossed piece, trimmed off the left side, and adhered it to the card front.
  • Lastly, I added the fussy-cut pieces to the card front using small foam squares, and I added my sentiments to the inside of the card using the Latte Love clear stamp set from Fiskars (old, and from my stash).
Here is the final card, front and inside.

I'm also entering this card in the May "A Perfect Time To Craft Card Challenge Blog".  Their theme is always "anything goes".  If you make a card, try to enter it in their challenge too.

I hope you have enjoyed today's quick tea card.  Don't forget to check out the card that Debra made over on her blog by clicking HERE.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Until next time...

Hugs from Brasil.
