Hello everyone.  I hope y'all had a great weekend! Ours was busy as usual.  Saturday night we went to Arte & Fato for the photo exhibition.  There was a really nice turnout and it feels great to see people voting and donating food.  But we got home really late.  And last night we had our friend Rociel over for dinner and we were up late chatting.  It was his first time tasting Mac N Cheese and he loved mine!!  Good grief my butt is dragging.  I think tonight will be an early one.         Today I have a super easy card for you that I made for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge Blog .  This is Challenge No. 328 and this is the sketch I had to work with -  I have wanted to use this Teddy Bear stamp from Anthony's Paper Craft for the longest time and this sketch is just perfect for it.  And so easy! Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!  Is everyone having a great weekend so far?  I hope so! I have been busy with several projects at the same time and cannot find anything on my desk - but somehow the chaos on my desk helps the creativity flow better. Can anyone relate?  Today's card was not a planned project but last night, in the midst of the creative chaos, I got an email from Freshly Made Sketches and the sketch immediately caught my eye.   As I pondered how I could make out a simple card, quickly, I looked over and saw a cool stencil I had on my desk sitting with my favorite sentiment set ever and this card idea popped into my head.   I started with an A2 top-folding card base of white cardstock to which I adhered a piece of textured red cardstock, 3.5"x 5.5".  Next, I cut the smallest long die from the A2 Matting Basics B set ( Spellbinders ) out of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment "You're So Thoughtful" from one o...

Hello everyone.  Me again!  Two posts in one day - I know, crazy!!  But I wanted to share with you a card I made for this week's Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #248 . Hello everyone.  Hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend.  We have a class next weekend in the store so I will be sticking around here getting things ready and cleaning up.  Today's card is for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge No. 225 .  I've had this image sitting around begging to be used and today was it's day!    Here is the sketch that was the inspiration for this card -  I started with a 5" x 7" white cardstock base, side folding.  Because this card is meant to be included with a wedding gift, or check, I went with a larger card size.  To the front I adhered a piece of metallic silver cardstock.  Then I checked through my stash of papers and found this beautiful paper called Diamond from SEI's White Elegance Collection and I cut a piece 3" x 6.5".  I adhered this to a piece of black cardstock, giving only a slight border, and adhered this to the card front on the right side.    Then I grabbed ...

Hello everyone!!  Today I want to share a card I made for this week's Freshly Made Sketches #217 challenge.  This is actually their last sketch for 2015 and you have until January 4, 2016 to enter one of your own if you so want to.  Here's the sketch that I had to use for inspiration -  And since I got more happy mail today with some Unity Stamps inside, I decided to use Whispy Prairie for the card sketch.   I started with the following - (1) a side-folding A2 Kraft card base, (2) a piece of designer scrap paper that I cut with the large stitched rectangle die from "Bundle of Stitched Shapes" by Simon Says Stamp, (3) a piece of black fun foam 4" x 5.25", (4) white cardstock that I cut using the 4th largest die from A2 Matting Basics A Card Creator by Spellbinders, (5) a piece of Kraft cardstock using the horizontal stitched strip from Blueprints 1 by My Favorite Things . Hello everyone.  Today I have a card that I am entering in the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge No. 211 .  I'm finding that doing these sketches, which I used to hate, pushes me to think outside the box and try to do something different.  For today's card I used a few stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti and a funky stamp set made by   Kasia Krzyminska   for The Scrapbook Diaries.  Links to everything in my supply list below.  1.  Grab a piece of white cardstock and some different colors of ink pads and, using the Love Blooms stamp set, stamp the solid flower part in a color and then go back and stamp the outline in black. There are 3 different sizes of flowers in this set.  Then place the matching die from the Love Blooms Confetti Cuts die set over the flowers and cut out using your die cut machine.  You will only need 3 or 4 flowers but I stamped a bunch to make this card a few times.  2.  Grab the Artis...

Well, I am not normally one to enter a card on a sketch blog but when I saw this sketch on Freshly Made Sketches , this card popped into my head and it was a no brainer.  This was also the fastest and cleanest card I have made.  Talk about "clean and simple". Start with a card base of black cardstock.  Then cut two pieces of white cardstock at 4" x 5.25".   On one piece of the white cardstock stamp the "So You're" phrase with Memento Black Ink;  adhere the Gray Satin Ribbon under the phrase; adhere the 1/8" Silver ribbon on top of the Gray ribbon; then stamp the "tying the knot" phrase.  Adhere this piece to the back card base front.  On the other piece of white cardstock, stamp the "Congratulations" and adhere this piece to the inside of the card.  Then adhere some Sparkling Clear sequins on the front and you are done!!   Supplies Used : Congratulations Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp (SSS101530) Basic Gray ...
