Welcome to a new Woodblock Wednesday, the day of the week that we use a woodblock stamp (or more) to make a card or other project.  This week I paired the Coffee Girl rubber stamp on cling from Technique Junkies, with a wood-mounted rubber stamp from Inkadinkado.  Sadly, both brands have closed.          I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock and adhered it to my desk using washi tape.  Using vintage photo distress ink, I blended a coffee stencil from my stash to the card front, and set it to the side.    I stamped and colored the two images on a piece of white cardstock, die-cut it using a stitched rectangle die, adhered a piece of fun foam to the back, and then adhered it to the card front.  Lastly, I added Diamond Glaze to the glasses to give a glassy effect and set it aside to fully dry.   I hope you have enjoyed this idea.  Remember to use your stash!!   Until next time... Welcome to a new Woodblock Wednesday, the day of the week that we use a woodblock stamp (or more) to make a card or other project.  The other day, while going through my stash, I found the Say Cheese rubber stamp from House Mouse.  The image is of Maxwell, the mouse, taking a photo while holding a piece of cheese in the air.  As soon as I saw it, I knew it would pair perfectly with the "Say Cheese" digital paper from Angie Blom Digital Designs.     Links to everything I used are at the end of this post.  Below is a step-by-step for the card I made, and I swear, you can make this in less than 15 minutes.  I made a top-folding A2 card using black cardstock. HERE ...to see her card and the giveaway she has if you enter a card of your own.  This will be a short post to share a card that I have been wanting to make for years.  Today's card uses 2 woodblock stamps from Hambo Stamps, which sadly closed in 2014.  Neither stamp has a name but one is a pig in a hammock, and the other is the sentiment "Happy "Pork" of July" - both circa 2009.   Now, between you and me, I am not happy with the card because I used a piece of blue cardstock as my base and the markers I used came out much darker than I wanted.  I will be making this card again soon using white cardstock ...

Hello everyone, and welcome to another Woodblock Wednesday -  the day of the week we set aside to give some love to woodblock stamps that we have not used in some time.     I am joining my friend Amy, who posts a Woodblock Wednesday card to her blog on the last Wednesday of each month.   For today's card, I used 2 woodblock stamps from my stash.  One is a white dude (ME) on a beach sipping a fully loaded alcoholic drink.  This stamp has no name and it was made by The Stamp Barn out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  The other is a stamp was made by Putting on the Ritz and says "Life's a Beach".  Both companies are long out of business.    I stamped the guy on the beach on white cardstock, colored the image with BIC Intensity Ultra Fine Tip markers, and die-cut it using a 3.25" x 4.5" stitched rectangle die.  I added white glue to the areas of the image where I wanted sand, sprinkled on real sand, knocked off the excess, and all...
