Say Cheese | House Mouse | Angie Blom | Woodblock Wednesday
Welcome to a new Woodblock Wednesday, the day of the week that we use a woodblock stamp (or more) to make a card or other project. The other day, while going through my stash, I found the Say Cheese rubber stamp from House Mouse. The image is of Maxwell, the mouse, taking a photo while holding a piece of cheese in the air. As soon as I saw it, I knew it would pair perfectly with the "Say Cheese" digital paper from Angie Blom Digital Designs.
Links to everything I used are at the end of this post. Below is a step-by-step for the card I made, and I swear, you can make this in less than 15 minutes.
- I made a top-folding A2 card using black cardstock.
- I printed the paper that says "say cheese" all over it from the Say Cheese Digital Paper Collection from Angie Blom Digital Designs, and I die-cut a piece using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die.
- I adhered a piece of black fun foam to the back of the "say cheese" paper and adhered this to the card front.
- I stamped the Say Cheese House Mouse stamp on white cardstock, die-cut it using a 2 3/4" x 4" stitched rectangle die, and layered it on a piece of black cardstock.
- Then I colored the image using some brush-tip Tombow Markers. I used 912 and 761 on Maxwell and N65 and N75 for the camera and to ground the image.
- I adhered a piece of black fun foam to the back and then to the card front.
- To finish the card, I printed the sentiment "Oh Snap" from the Captured My Heart (cameras) kit, from Angie Blom Digital Designs, die-cut it using a stitched banner die, layered it on black cardstock, and then the card front.
- I also die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the inside for a message.
