Stamp Ink Paper "Back To School" Challenge with Memory Box

Image
Hello everyone!  I hope everyone has been well.  I have been busy busy busy working on a bunch of different projects here. And, I started to teach English classes at a school in town two nights a week.  I really need more hours in my day but I think most of us feel this way.  LOL I made today's card for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge Blog .  Their challenge this week,  No. 113, is Back To School -  I had been working on another card using fish stamps but, when I saw that this challenge was a "back to school" challenge, I immediately thought of a "school of fish", and ran with it.  I started with a top folding A2 navy blue card base.  I then cut a piece of white cardstock using the large stitched rectangle from the Bundle of Stitched Shapes set (Simon Says Stamp).  Then I stamped several of the fish from the Fish Tales stamp set (Memory Box) and colored them in with Bic Markers.   I cut a piece of white fun foam...

CAS On Sunday - Glitter or Sequin Challenge With Unity Stamps

Image
Hello everyone!  Just wanted to pop in with a quick card I made yesterday for a few blog challenges.  First is the CAS On Sunday Challenge Blog .  I was so happy to be one of their top picks last week for Challenge #106  and had to play along again for this week's Challenge #107 , which is is to use glitter or sequins on a card.   I'm also adding it to this week's challenge over on the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge Blog , which is Challenge #97 - Mother's Day . And this week's challenge on the Cards In Envy Challenge Blog , which is a Motherly Love Card Challenge . Now...my first thought when I saw the words glitter and sequins was to make a shaker card.  But I figured that would everyone's first thought and I decided to go in a different direction.  I decided to use glitter as an element in the image. I started by making a top folding A2 card base out of white cardstock to which I adhered a piece of decorative cardstock. I cut ano...

SIP Challenge #96 - CAS Wedding - With Gina K Designs

Image
Hello...hello....hello.....I hope everyone is doing great so far this week!  There are so many "holidays" here this month, with long weekends, that time feels like it has slowed down.   Today I want to share with you guys a super easy CAS (clean & simple) wedding card I made for this week's challenge over on the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge Blog .  I swear...you can make this in less than 10 minutes! I started with a top folding A2 card base of white cardstock.  I then went through my stash and found a really classy metallic designer paper (from Brasil), which I adhered to the card front.  Then I cut another piece of white cardstock using the large stitched rectangle from the Bundle of Stitched Shapes (Simon Says Stamp).   Strangely, I do not own many images for a wedding.  That is going to have to change soon.  LOL  But I do have this beautiful and classy set called "Always And Forever" by Gina K. Designs .  Sa...

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge No. 95 - Sketch With Unity Stamps

Image
Hello all!  It's Thursday already.  The week is almost over and I cannot wait for this weekend.  There is a food truck festival in my town and a Churro Festival in the next town over!!  Yay!!  So, in my post this past  Monday I made mention that I had screwed up on some of my stamping.  One of the phrases I stamped was crooked and the other phrase, because I stamped twice, looked out of focus. So I slapped these suckers on my Scan N Cut and it cut out the images - which is perfect to use for this week's Stamp Ink Paper Challenge , which is SIP Challenge No. 95 - A Sketch -   I started by (a) making a top folding A2 card base of white cardstock, (b) cutting a piece of designer paper using the large stitched rectangle from the Bundle of Stitched Shapes (Simon Says Stamp), (c) cutting another piece of designer paper using one of the dies from Stitched Rectangles (Retired, MFT Stamps), (d) stamping and cutting the words "...

SIP Flower Challenge #93 With The Ton and Altenew

Image
Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!!  I cannot believe that we are into the Fall season here and it's been about 90 degrees every day.  And humid!  I am looking forward to some cooler weather soon.  This week seems to be all about flowers. Although we try with our limited free time available our "garden" had become one big mess and was looking more like a forest.  So we called our friend Marcia who owns a nursery to help.  She ripped 90% of it out and we are restarting.  I am loving how this is a new and cleaned up area.  Let's see what happens down the road.  LOL My favorite area.  Marcia wanted to toss this tree stump but I wanted to keep it and I cannot wait to get some flowers into these pots. Continuing with the flower theme this week is the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #93, which is all about flowers - I recently got may hands on the Lone Poppy stamp from  The Ton and decided to use it for this challeng...

SIP Challenge 78 - Winter Holiday with Unity Stamps

Image
Hello everyone!  Wow....this month is just flying by and it seems that I have no time to do anything for fun!! How is everyone doing with their holiday shopping? Anyone finished yet?  Since it's summer here we are off to the beach for a few days and will enjoy seeing Santa on the sand!!  Honestly, I do miss this time of year in NYC with all the decorations hanging in the streets, the Christmas windows at Saks, Lord & Taylor, Macy's....Christmas music everywhere, bells ringing and all the holiday fairs. But.....I do NOT miss the cold weather!   This week over at the  Stamp Ink Paper Challenge Blog  they are having SIP Challenge No. 78 - Winter Holiday -  And I made two Christmas cards out of one main image.  I know that the phrase "I Am More Than What You See" does not seem "Christmasy" and was not created for this.  What I am trying to get across here is that Christmas is "more than just what you see".  By using it wi...

SIP Challenge 74 - Clean & Simple Christmas Card with IO Stamps

Image
TGIF everyone!!!  Man, today took forever to get here.  This was a crazy week - filled with more clouds and rain than I ever wanted - and I am shocked I actually got this card done in time.  This week's challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper Challenge is Challenge No. 74 - Clean & Simple Christmas -  To make my card I started with a top folding A2 card base of white cardstock. To the front I adhered a piece of decorative paper with a Christmas feel to it.  Then I cut a piece of red cardstock, 4" x 5.25", which I adhered to the card front. Next I cut a piece of white cardstock 3.75" x 5".  Using the Round Ornaments 2 set by Impression Obsession , I stamped one of the ornaments with Warm Red Chalk ink by ColorBox (my favorite) and then I embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I then stamped the string the ornament hangs on, also in the Warm Red Chalk ink.  Next I stamped the Happy Holidays To You phrase, also by Impression Obsess...

Save The Turkeys/Autumn Colors for Stamp Ink Paper and Retro Rubber Card Challenge Blogs

TGIF everyone!!  Today is the first day in about a week that we have no rain, the sun is shining bright and there are fluffy white clouds in the sky.  It has poured every night this week with major thunder and lightening too.  And, of course, electric on and off.  But it looks like it's going to be a great weekend.   I cannot believe it is almost Halloween!  This year has flown by.  Although this is not today's card, I wanted to share a Halloween card that I made the other day. I used a new Prima doll image called Bootiful, some really old QuicKutz dies of a cemetery and bats, and a giant moon out of yellow glittered fun foam.   Now for today's card, which is perfect for two card challenges going on.  This week's Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #71  had some funky colors to work with - mint, rust and mustard - perfect autumn colors .   And the Retro Rubber Challenge #50 - is Fall colors!  Perfect.  One c...
