Hello everyone, and welcome to the September 2026 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with Deb and Lisa.  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we (the Crafty Elves) post one or more holiday cards, hoping we inspire you to make your own cards for the holidays. 

I've been super busy lately getting this place ready for my cousins who are coming to visit Brasil (and me) for the first time!  They actually arrive tonight!  Yay!  So I needed a quick card.  Stat!  

I made these two cards using one of the images from Whimsical Christmas Doodles from Pink Lake Studio on Etsy.  This collection has 156 images - traditional images of stockings, Christmas trees, reindeer, wooden soldiers, and lots of Santa images, as well as fun and quirky images of dogs, cats, women shopping, having coffee - there are so many to choose from. 

 
To make these cards:
  • I made two top-folding A2 cards using red cardstock.  
  • I printed the image of a puppy sleeping next to a stack of Christmas presents, twice, on white cardstock, and die-cut them using a 3.75" x 5" stitched rectangle die.
  • I die-cut two pieces of gold cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, and adhered each image to the front of each piece of gold cardstock.  Then I adhered a piece of fun foam to the back of the gold cardstock, and then to the front of each card front.  
  • I made two sentiments on the computer - Merry Christmas and Feliz Natal, which is Merry Christmas in Portuguese.  I die-cut each sentiment using a stitched banner die, layered them on a piece of red cardstock, and then to the card front.    
Here are the 2 cards I made.  Inside is blank where a message can be written.

BLOG CANDY STENCILS!!! BLOG CANDY STENCILS!!!!!

**Blog Candy Update!!  -  I have a few more items to my Blog Candy -  A 6x6 StencilGirl Stencil called  Bird In Window by Pam Carriker, a box of Brasilian chocolates, a Brasilian Scrapbooking magazine called Guia do Scrapbooking, which means Guide to Scrapbooking.  It's in portuguese but you can get great ideas with the pictures and layouts they give.   And I have added a 6" x 6" Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plate!!!  --------------------------------------------- Hello everyone!  My first Blog Candy post!!  Long story short - in November, when StencilGirl had their big Black Friday sale, I placed an order.  Due to a glitch in their system (but in our favor) the same order was shipped to me - twice.  Since I did not pay for one of the orders, I emailed John at StencilGirl and he told me to keep them and offer them up as blog candy at a later date.  Hence....this BLOG CANDY post!!  All you have to do i...

A StenDoodled Birthday Card For My Brother!!

Good morning everyone.  I hope everyone survived their Thanksgiving (if they celebrated) and their Black Friday shopping (if they did any).  We normally do some sort of Thanksgiving dinner here with friends but this year it was just a pizza with hopes of a turkey dinner with all the fixings soon.   As for Black Friday, you cannot beat the 30% off that Simon Says Stamp gave on Thursday and was able to finally get 1 die and 3 stamp sets that I have had on my wish list. On Friday (at 6am my time) Ellen Hutson had a great sale and I was able to add some Inchie Arts products and 2 WPlus9 sets I have been wanting.  There was plenty more that I wanted but I kept my wallet in check. What bargains or deals did you find?  I'd love to know!
