Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas - November 2023 Edition | Technique Junkies |

 


Hello everyone, and welcome to the November 2023 Edition of The Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas.  If this is your first time here, on the 25th of each month, I take part in a Christmas collab with some of my Crafty Elf friends - Debra of Meticulosity and Lisa of Life of a BZScrapper - and we each post a fun Christmas or Holiday card to help inspire you to make your own.  

This month we have a Guest Crafty Elf -  Amy Tsuruta of Craftee1.  Links to all of our cards and our social media pages are at the end of this post. 


This month I decided to make a Hanukkah card since I have not made one in some time and the first night of Hanukkah is December 7th.

  • Using a piece of white cardstock, I made a top-folding A2 card base.
  • I put double-sided tape behind two pieces of glittered fun foam - one silver, the other dark blue.  Then I cut them into strips and adhered them to the card front alternating between each color.
  • I stamped Hanukkah Background from Technique Junkies on a piece of light blue cardstock using black ink, die-cut it using a stitched rectangle die, and then adhered this to the fun foam.
  • I made a Happy Hanukkah sentiment on the computer, de-cut it using a stitched banner die, layered it on another, then the card front.  
  • To finish off the card, I added green stickles to the leaves on the image.

He Made It/She Made It | Bottle Won't Open with Technique Junkies

 

Hello everyone!  Welcome to, not only November but also a new "He Made It/She Made It" collaboration with my friend Debra of Meticulosity and fellow Technique Junkies Design Team Member.    

The end of the year is almost here, the holidays will soon be upon us (don't ask what holidays), and we're all getting a bit stressed.  This month Debra and I decided to use the brand-new Bottle Won't Open stamp, part of the November 2023 Stamp Release from Technique Junkies.  


  • I made a 5" x 7" card base to which I adhered a piece of Christmas designer paper.
  • I embossed a piece of gold mirror cardstock using an embossing folder from here with different wine names - perfect for the sentiment.
  • I adhered the embossed gold mirror cardstock to a piece of black fun foam, and then to the card front.
  • I stamped Bottle Won't Open on white cardstock, die-cut it with a stitched square die, layered it on the same designer paper as the card front, and then on top of the gold mirror cardstock.  
  • To finish off the card, I colored the holly leaves and berries, added 3 red enamel dots to the front, and rounded the corners on the bottom of the card.

Technique Junkies November 2023 New Stamp Release

 


Hello everyone, and welcome to the November 2023 New Stamp Release from Technique Junkies.  This month there are 11 new stamps with something for everyone - vintage, sentiments, animals, Christmas, and even a mushroom and snail.

To kick off this new release, I made this Christmas card using the new Bottle Won't Open which I paired with Champagne Toast. 


  • I made a 5.5" square card using red cardstock.  
  • I stamped Champagne Toast on a piece of 5" square white cardstock using black ink, adhered it to a piece of black fun foam, and then to the card front. 
  • I then colored the glasses using some "vintage" colors and applied Glossy Accents on top.  Then I set it aside to fully dry.  
  • While it was drying, I stamped Bottle Won't Open, cut the sentiment - only using part of it - layered it on red cardstock, and then to the card front.  
  • To finish off the card, I colored the holly leaves and adhered small red crystals for the berries.
