  Hello everyone!  It's been a few months since I collaborated with my friends  Debra  and  Lisa  and it's great to join them again for the October 2024 Edition of The Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas,  which happens on the 25th of each month, in hopes that our ideas inspire you guys to start to make or help you in your Christmas card making fun.   This month I have 2 quirky cards to share with everyone.   I know this image of a  Holiday Bunny  from  Lady Stella Creates  on Etsy is not for everyone but when I saw the bunny hanging lights on a Christmas tree, I thought it was a fun, quirky image and I had to have it.  He, or she, just makes me smile.   Card No. 1 I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock to which I adhered some Christmas striped paper.   Hello everyone and Happy Sunday.  Today is my 2nd Hanukkah/Chanukah card using the Glass Effects (S4-451) die from Spellbinders.  Although it's retired, you can still find it online.  This past Thursday I posted THIS Hanukkah/Chanukah card on my blog and IG in which I used the die with the  Team Tie-Dye paper from Honey Bee Stamps .  I only used the inside pieces of the die, not the outer border part. But I will use it now, for today's card.  I started by trimming the Glass Effects piece to 4" x 5.25", which I layered on a piece of white cardstock and I adhered a piece of fun foam behind this - to give a raised effect - but you can also use foam tape.  Then I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a stitched rectangle die for the inside of the card.  And I made a top-folding A2 card using navy cardstock. I adhered the white cardstock to the inside of the card.  Then I adhered the Glass Effect piece to the card front.  OK, ...

  Hello everyone and Happy Thursday.  I hope y'all are doing well this week.  Remember, it's almost Friday!!  We are on Day 20 (=/-) with rain, drizzle, and overcast skies and, to be honest, it's driving me nuts.  But I've had time to go thru more of my unused stash and it's crazy how many Hanukkah/Chanukah stamps and papers I own that have never been used.  In my stash last week I found a package of 25 silver A2 cards that had I picked up at a stamp show - who knows how many years ago.  My first thought was to make a Hanukkah card, which is probably why I bought them in the first place.  Better late than never...right? I decided to pair the silver cardstock with the Glass Effects die from Spellbinders and the Happy Hanukkah die from Paper Trey Ink.   I started by cutting one of the A2 cards in half.  One half I die-cut using the Glass Effects die.  You end up with a border part and all the inside pieces of the window.  ...

  Hey, y'all.  Are you in need of some super easy, fast-to-make, fun, and noisy shaker cards for your family and/or friends celebrating Hanukkah/Chanukah?  Maybe you are not a stamper.  This might be the post you needed.    To start, you need some Hanukkah/Chanukah paper or some 4" x 5" journaling cards.  There are several companies that put out a Hanukkah/Chanukah paper collection but I went with the Happy Hanukkah Collection from Simple Stories .  The collection is available as a physical paper collection and a digital collection .  I bought the digital version.  I started with 2 different journaling cards.  Although I printed 4 of them, I will only use 1 of each for this blog post.  I can fit 4 on a sheet of A4 white cardstock at 80%.  If you have the physical collection, you can just cut the cards out.  They should be the 4" x 5" cards.  Next, I die-cut each of the journaling cards using the 2nd largest stit...

  Hello everyone and Happy Hanukkah to those that celebrate it.  Or to those that have Jewish friends or family and are taking part in the festivities.  I know it's kinda late to be making this card but I had to get it out of my head.  And, you can always make it for next year.  But, there are also 7 more days to the holiday too.  This is such a quick and easy card to make with only a few things needed.  The embossing folder, silver, and white cardstock, and the die.  I am using the Illusion Triangles 3D embossing folder from Altenew to make this card.  The first time I saw the folder the first thing I noticed was a Star of David in the design.  Now, I don't know if it was made this way on purpose but that's how the idea for this card came about.   Happy New Year everyone, welcome to the January 2021 Edition of the Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas.  Debra , Lisa , and I are back for a new year of making holiday cards.  And this year we hope to have some special guests along for the ride.   And, we have a new logo.  Those "crafty elves" at the top are a digital stamp from someone on Etsy.  If you are interested, you can find the link in THIS post.  For this month, I decided on a few super quick cards.  All took less than 15 minutes to make.   Hello everyone.  This is a more detailed step by step on how to make Card No. 3 (of 4) from the November 2020 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas.   Links to the other 3 cards as well as the links to the other Crafty Elves' blog post can be found at the end of this post.   I wanted to make a super simple and fast card for Hanukkah and this idea was bouncing around in my head.  A few weeks ago I received the  Happy Hanukkah Script Die  from Pretty Pink Posh .  The week I got it, I also found a package of thin multi-colored washi tape here in the mall.  And I wanted the two to get married.
