Coffee and Cards with Deb and Celeste | Breast Cancer Awareness Month | Hope Card
My friends Deb (Meticulosity) and Celeste (Crafting Junky) asked me to join them this month for their monthly card collab, "Coffee with Deb and Celeste", where this month's theme is Breast Cancer Awareness. Of course, I said YES!
Since there is HOPE, I made a mini slimline HOPE card.
- I made a card base, 3" x 7", using white cardstock.
- I cut a piece of pink cardstock, 3" x 7", a piece of white cardstock, 2.75" x 6.75", which I embossed with the Poppy embossing folder by Anna Griffin/Cricut Cuttlebug (old and from my stash).
- I printed the word HOPE on a piece of pink cardstock using the open Londrina Shadow Font at 220 pt. and fussy cut the letters.
- I found a Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon image online, which I saved, printed, colored, and fussy-cut. This will act ast the "O" in the word HOPE.
Then I put the card together.
- I adhered the pink cardstock to the card front.
- I adhered a piece of fun foam to the back of the embossed white piece, then to the card front.
- I glued the H, P, and E and the colored ribbon using foam dots.
I'm going to be sharing these cards on the A Perfect Time to Craft Card Challenge and the Crafts Galore Encore Card Challenge Blog, which are both "Anything Goes" themes each month.
I hope you enjoy the card. Below are the cards that Debra and Celeste have made. A link to each of their blogs are below each of the cards. I hope you can take a moment to click on the link and leave them some love too.
Until next time...

Thank you for joining us in such an amazing collaboration! Your card is absolutely fabulous, Michael!
ReplyDeleteWhat a meaningful card for such an important cause. The HOPE with the awareness ribbon as the O is so clever, and the collab with Deb and Celeste sounds like a lovely tradition.

What a beautiful, heartfelt card for such an important cause — the awareness ribbon forming the O in HOPE is such a clever touch, and it is lovely that you, Deb and Celeste keep the coffee-and-cards tradition going for a good reason. Reading the story behind it reminded me of rahul gosain's take on how small gestures of hope matter to people going through treatment. Lovely work, Michael!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Michael — turning the awareness ribbon into the O of HOPE is such a clever and touching design choice. Crafting something by hand for this cause carries real meaning; small gestures really do matter to people going through treatment. Lovely collaboration with Deb and Celeste too.
