Woodblock Wednesday Card | Halloween Card | Outlines Rubber Stamps

Hello everyone, and welcome to a new Woodblock Wednesday card.  Wednesday is the day of the week to use woodblock stamps in your art.  On the last Wednesday of the month, my friend Amy celebrates her love of woodblock stamps with a post on her Woodblock Wednesday Instagram page. If you make a card of your own, make sure to link it to her card at THIS link by June 29th at 5am Pacific.  Every card linked has a chance to win a small prize from her.

I've been in the mood to start making Halloween cards and found this Halloween woodblock stamp from Outlines Rubber Stamps in my stash.  It has never been inked up until today.  Sadly, Outlines went out of biz years ago but I still own many of their stamps.  They were one of my favorite companies, and I still own a huge box of their stamps since they never seem to go out of style.
  • I made a top-folding A2 card base using orange cardstock.
  • I die-cut a piece of black cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, embossed it with the Bats embossing folder from Sizzix, adhered a piece of black fun foam to the back, and then to the card front.
  • I stamped the cat/pumpkin image on white cardstock, colored the image with Tombow brush markers, trimmed it to 2 3/8" x 5", layered it on the orange cardstock, then a layer of fun foam, then to the card front.
  • I stamped my sentiment from an old Inkadinkado stamp, layered it on black, then to the card front.
  • To finish off the card, I adhered a 4" x 5.25" piece of white cardstock to the inside for a message.

Now it's your turn.  Go grab a woodblock stamp and make something creative.

I'm going to be sharing these cards on the A Perfect Time to Craft June Card Challenge, and the the Crafts Galore Encore Card Challenge Blog.
