Coffee and Cards with Deb and Celeste | Usa A Stencil | StenDoodle Card
Hello, y'all. Each month, my friends Deb (Meticulosity) and Celeste (Crafting Junky) do a card collab called "Coffee with Deb and Celeste" with a specific theme. They asked me to join them for their June collab, and the "theme" this month is stencil - I need to use at least 1 stencil on my card. Easy peasy.
Since it's the start of summer, I wanted a floral image, and I found a few that are perfect to use for the idea in my head. They are from a Wildflowers Digi Bundle I bought on Etsy from XoXoLine.
This is going to post at midnight and I already know what coffee I plan on making when I wake up. It's fall here, so I am going to make a nice hot cup of Pumpkin Spice coffee.
To make this card:
- I made a top-folding A2 card. Then I adhered a piece of washi tape down the left side of the card.
- I cut a piece of pink/mauve cardstock, 3.25" x 5.5", adhered a piece of fun foam to the back, then to the card front on the right side.
- I printed one of the wildflower images twice, on a sheet of white cardstock, at 70%. Using one of the images, I colored the flowers and the vase using Tombow Brush Markers - 725, 743, 055, and 195.
- I trimmed the image to 3" x 5.5" and adhered it to the front of the pink/mauve cardstock.
- I fussy cut and colored the 3 flowers and the vase from the 2nd image.
- I masked off the arms and top of the vase, placed the River Rocks stencil from StencilGirl on top, and added Mustard Seed distress ink with a blending brush.
- To get a glossy vase look, I embossed the stenciled vase with Versamark clear embossing ink, added clear embossing powder, and heat set. Once cool to the touch, I adhered it to the vase on the card front.
- Then I added 3 yellow enamel dots.
I hope you enjoy the card. I'm excited to see what Debra and Celeste have made, and to see what kind of coffee they are drinking today. You can check out their cards on their blogs - links are below.
