The Crafty Elves Countdown To Christmas - June 2026 Edition - Christmas Slimline Cards

Hello everyone, and welcome to the June 2026 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with Deb and Lisa.  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we (the Crafty Elves) post one or more holiday cards, hoping to inspire you to make your own cards for the holidays.

The other day I found some papers that were leftover from a Christmas mini-album I had made using an old collection from Echo Park called Reflections Christmas by Lori Whitlock.  One of the papers was a sheet with long holiday messages that I used to make 4 cards. This month I am sharing 2 slimline cards and next month I will share the other two cards.

Card No. 1

  • I made a top folding 3.25" x 7 7/8" slimline card base using a red cardstock.  I chose red because some of the snowflakes in the paper are red.
  • I printed a snowflake paper from the Letters to Santa digital collection by Carta Bella, die-cut a portion of the paper using a 3" x 7" stitched slimline die, adhered a piece of white fun foam to the back, then to the card front.
  • I trimmed the "Let It Snow" border from the paper, layered it on red cardstock to give a slight border, die-cut it using the same stitched die (so the stitching lines up), and adhered it to the snowflake paper.
  • Lastly, to zhuzh up the card, I added some small crystals to the center of the stars on the top layer of decorative paper, and I added a piece of white cardstock to the inside for a message.

Card No. 2

  • I made a top folding 3.25" x 7.5" slimline card base using a red cardstock.
  • I cut the decorative paper with the holly and berries, 3" x 7.5", adhered a piece of red fun foam to the back, and then to the card front.
  • I trimmed the red striped scrap to 1.75" x 7.5", layered it on a piece of red cardstock, 2" x 7.5", then adhered red fun foam to the back, then adhered it to the card front.
  • I trimmed the phrase "All I Want For Christmas Is To Be With You" to 1" x 7.5", layered it on a piece of red cardstock, 1.25" x 7.5", then a piece of red fun foam, and then to the card front.
  • Lastly, I added 4 crystals on each side of the sentiment on the card front, and I adhered a piece of white cardstock to the inside of my 3-layer card, where a message can be written.
I hope you have enjoyed these card ideas, and I hope they inspire you to start making your own holiday cards this year.  Don't forget to visit the other Crafty Elves and see what they made.  All our social media links are below.
