Hello everyone!! I am so honored to be a part of this week's "It's A Girl Thing/Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop" with 56 other super talented artists and makers. Lori Kobular of Lori's Kreations, whose daughter, Julie, has Turner's Syndrome, asked me if I would take part in the hop and it took me less than a second to say yes.
Thirty-six caring Sponsors and nine Design Team Members are offering prizes to commenters and they are helping bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori's Turner Syndrome Home Page.

The 57 artists and makers in the hop were asked to use this inspiration mood board when coming up with their projects.
The butterfly has become the symbol for "Turner Girls". Just like a butterfly, they are considered fragile and beautiful miracles. Because it represents femininity, strength, and uniqueness, the butterfly was designated by TSSUS to become the Turner Syndrome symbol.
And this is the card I made.
I got the idea for this card after watching THIS video on the Houses Build of Cards YouTube channel. I loved the idea of the ink/water smooshing and had to give it a try. And I love how it came out.
I am using two amazing butterfly stamp sets - Butterflies 1 and Butterflies 2 both from Anthony's Paper Craft. One is a solid image and one is a line drawn image, which are perfect for this technique. These two stamp sets are also one of the prizes you can win during this blog hop.

To make the first part of the card I used my Stamping Pro Platform (Sunlit) along with Passionate Pink, Bubblegum Pink, Wild Lilac, Innocent Pink and Wild Dandelion (cuz we need a splash of yellow) cube inks from Gina K. Designs, a paintbrush and H2O, and Butterflies 2 from Anthony's Paper Craft.
I cut a piece of watercolor paper using a Stitched Rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs, secured in my stamp platform, put the stamp on top of the paper and closed the lid to secure the stamp.
I started with the Wild Dandelion ink and dabbed some on 3 of the butterflies. Then I added some water over the ink and stamped it down pushing a bit to make sure the color gets into the paper.
Then Innocent Pink
Then Wild Lilac
Then Passionate Pink
And finally, some Bubblegum Pink
I know...it looks like a hot mess. But wait....
Next, I placed Butterflies 1 from Anthony's Paper Craft on top of the watercolors areas and, using Jet Black Amalgam Ink from Gina K. Designs, I stamped the image on top.
Now it's looking better. It's not perfectly centered over the colors but that's the watercolor effect I was looking to achieve.
Next, I adhered a piece of fun foam to the back and then I adhered it to my card front, which is a hot pinkish color.
I pulled out Tiny Text Just Because Stickers (Cosmo Cricket/Retired), adhered 3 phrases to a piece of black cardstock, cut them apart, put foam squares behind them and adhered them to the card front.
And here is the final card!
I am really really happy with how this card turned out. It's such a great technique and I hope to use this again on other cards. Let me know what you think!!
Also, please remember to visit the "It's A Girl Thing" Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop 2020 page to become eligible for one of the many many prizes, including the two butterfly stamps used on today's card.
After making today's card for the blog hop, it inspired me to make 6 more cards...1 card for each of the next 6 days...and I hope that you will hop on over each day to check it out. All of the cards I made for this week I am sending to Lori for her to sell and make some money for Turner Syndrome.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. Don't forget to check out the other 56 makers and enter so that you can win a prize. Until next time - hugs from Brasil.
~Michael
