Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas | May 2025 Edition | Hero Arts
Hello everyone, and welcome to the May 2025 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with Deb and Lisa. If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we (the Crafty Elves) post one or more holiday cards in hopes that we inspire you to start making your own so that, come November, we have cards ready to mail.
So, during the month, as I was cleaning out boxes, bags, and bins of stuff in my stash, I found this vintage stamp from Hero Arts, and I had to make these cards using it. These 2 cards use the Snowman and Snowflakes (K5533) stamp from Hero Arts from 2011. It's so old, I can't even find a sample card made by anyone.
- I made 2 top-folding A2 card bases using white cardstock and adhered a piece of dark blue cardstock to the front of each one.
- I cut 2 pieces of lighter blue cardstock, 3 7/8" x 5 1/4", and embossed them using the Christmas Wishes embossing folder from Crafter's Companion. Then I adhered a piece of fun foam to the backs and adhered them to the card fronts.
- I stamped Snowman and Snowflakes twice on white cardstock, using Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed them using clear embossing powder, colored the scarves and noses, layered each of them on the darker cardstock, and then on the card fronts.
- I typed up the sentiments on the computer, printed them, die-cut them, layered them on a banner die, and then on the front of the cards. One is in English, the other in Portuguese.
- Lastly, I added Crystal Stickles for the snow and a tiny crystal to each snowflake.
I hope you have enjoyed this Christmas card idea. If you also have this stamp from Hero, leave a comment below. Please don't forget to visit the other Crafty Elves and see what they made. All of our social media links are below.

Love the clean simplicity of these fun cards!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy about this nostalgic twist with the Hero Arts vintage stamp, what a delightful path to bring nostalgia and tradition into your Christmas cards! The layers of textures, beautiful coloring, and those little sparkles bring everything to life! It's awesome to see how much thought and creativity you have put into these designs. As a student trying to meet deadlines, and sometimes even needing the assignment help in USA to keep up, creating like this seems like such a great way to unwind, and stay festive all year! I'm excited to see what you share next month!
