Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with Deb and Lisa - January 2025 Edition

Hello everyone and welcome to the first Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas of 2025.  I have decided to rejoin my Elf friends Debra and Lisa this year (they gave me a raise and the corner office).  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we each post one or more holiday cards so that at the end of the year, we have a bunch ready to send out to people.  And we hope you will join us.

This month's card uses a few Christmas digi sentiments and paper.  No stamping required.

  • I made a top-folding A2 card and adhered a 1.5" strip of Christmas striped paper to the right side.
  • Then I cut a piece of red cardstock, 3.5" x 5.5", adhered a piece of fun foam to the back, and then I adhered it to the card front.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock, 3 3/8" x 5.5", embossed it with the "Christmas Wishes" embossing folder from Crafter's Companion, and adhered it on the red cardstock.
  • I printed digital Christmas sentiments I had purchased from Captured Harvest on Etsy but, sadly, they are no longer on Etsy.  There are so many other digital sentiments you can buy, or use stamps or dies.
  • I die-cut the sentiments I wanted to use with a banner die.  I also cut a piece of red cardstock for each sentiment using another banner die, slightly larger, to which I adhered each sentiment.
  • Lastly, I adhered the sentiments to the front of the card.
Done!
I hope you have enjoyed thss card idea.  Don't forget to visit the other Crafty Elves and see what they made.  All of our social media links are below.
