Anthony's Paper Craft February 2019 New Release Blog Hop - Floral Background 2

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to the first Anthony's Paper Craft Blog Hop of 2019!!   I am once again teaming up with some of the other design team members - Debra ( Meticulosity ), Mary Kay ( MKW Cards ) and Mike ( Dezines By EM ) to show you guys some of the new sets being released by Anthony's Paper Craft on February 2, 2019.  This is an amazing release filled with several beautiful floral images, a new coffee set, a set of owls, some new tiles....and more.     For this hop I used Floral Background 2, the link of which will be added on Feb. 1, and which is also one of my favorites.  I started by stamping Floral Background 2 with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock.  I then used my stitched rectangle die to cut the image out. I then colored in - very lightly and quickly - the stems and leaves of the flowers using my Key Lime Ultra Fine BIC Marker. Next, I colored in the flowers with my Pink Flamingo ...

Crafts U Print Birthday Card / Cardmaking Facebook Group / Freebie

Image
Hello everyone!!  Today's project is a bit different for me.  I made a card using a "printable template" from Crafts U Print .  I'll explain.  LOL.  I am in a group on Facebook  called  Cardmaking Tutorials, Support and Inspiration .  The group was started in February of 2018 and, in less than 1 year, has grown to 20,848 members (as of this morning).  That is crazy!!!  But it's a great group of people from all over the globe that love to make cards and help each other.   For their soon to be 1st birthday, the group is having a group challenge and their sponsor,  CraftsUPrint ,  is offering a £20 (about $25 US) voucher as the prize! As an incentive to join in the group challenge, CraftsUPrint is also offering each member of the group, a free download - this Roses Handbag Shaped Card kit !  The "printable template" I used for today's card. To enter the group’s challenge for this amazin...

Valentine Two Hearts Shaker Card

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to 2019!!!  I hope everyone had a great holiday and New Year's Eve!!  Here it was super hot but the fireworks over the city on New Year's Eve was really nice (but not for the dogs).  My mojo also took a bit of a holiday for the last 2 months but it's back and I have more projects in the works than the time to make them. My first project for this year is a design team project for Anthony's Paper Craft - a square Valentine shaker card using the  Valentine's Day 2 .  For the next 3 weeks, each Friday, the design team will have a project for you showcasing this set.  If you place an order online and add this SOTM set to your cart, your whole order will ship for free (USA only).   To make this card, let's start with a list of the supplies you will need -  Valentine's Day 2 from Anthony's Paper Craft Stitched Square Dies   - Gina Marie Designs Foam tape Various sequins, seed beads, and/or glitter ...

A Zombie Loving Coffee Addict ATC with Vera Lane Studio

Image
As some of you know, I love Vera Lane Studio digital stamps - they are fun, quirky, odd and there are lots of zombie and coffee themed images to play with. This month, in the  Vera Lane Studio Facebook Group , there is a Coffee ATC Challenge.   Coffee and zombies.  My two favorite words.  But a coffee loving zombie is so much more fun and that is what today's project is all about.  Hence the coffee and zombie! As much as I would have liked to have used real coffee stained paper for this project, I have yet to try that, so I started by printing a free coffee stained digital paper I had in my stash and then cutting it to an ATC size - 2.5" x 3.5".  I also distressed the edges with vintage photo distress ink (Holtz/Ranger).   Using the Calacas Digi Stamp Bundle - I printed two of the zombie images, along with some of the coffee cups, and the phrase.  I then fussy cut the zombie, the flower from the 2nd zombie, and 5 of the cup...

Day of the Dead / Dia de Los Muertos / Dia dos Mortos with Vera Lane Studio

Image
Hello everyone and Happy Day of the Dead or Dia de Los Muertos (Spanish) or Dia dos Mortos (Portuguese) - depending on where you live or what language you speak.  I love this holiday and I love the idea of a special day to remember and celebrate those that have passed before us.  Most people consider this a Mexican holiday but it is celebrated in many other parts of the world.  In the states it's called All Souls Day but parts of the USA in the Midwest and south also celebrate Day of the Dead because of the Mexican influence.  Here in Brasil it's a  public holiday, also called Finados, and is similar to other Day of the Dead celebrations.  Many people go to cemeteries and churches with flowers and candles and offer prayers. The celebration is intended to honor the dead. Memorializing the dead draws from indigenous, African and European Catholic origins. There is a lot to learn about the Day of the Dead and, if you are interested, you can click on...

Cards & Coffee With Deb and Celeste - Halloween 2018

Image
Hello everyone.  I am having "cyber" coffee and sharing cards with Deb and Celeste again today. Our theme for today is Halloween - one of the holidays I really miss from the states.  It's not a typical holiday here and, although there might be some parties and the kids will dress up for school, there is no trick-or-treating and there is no candy corn!!  I know...sad.   For today's hop I am enjoying a cuppa Cinnamon Blueberry Crumble (YUM) in a new cactus mug that Ruy got a few days ago and which gave me an idea for a card but that will be next week and, I digress.      For my card today, I decided to use a digi stamp I have from  Bugaboo Stamps  called  Trick or Treat Feet  and I printed 4 of the images at 90% onto white cardstock.   I trimmed one of the images and colored it using a variety of BIC Ultra Fine Tip Markers  (my favorite markers).  I also layered it on to a piece ...
