Hello everyone.  I have some friends here that have a rubber stamp company and I am in love with so many of Fran's images.  I was able to get some from her when I saw her at the Mega Artesenal last week and was very happy to put some ink to one of them today for this week's challenge over on The Paper Players Challenge Blog .   This week's challenge - No. 354 - is a sketch -   I started with a top folding A2 card base to which I adhered a piece of designer paper that I had in my stash.  I love these warm "coffee" colors.     Since I did not have the phrase I wanted to use in a stamp, I created it on the computer and printed it on white cardstock.  Then I cut the cardstock to 2.5" x 5.5" and stamped the coffee cup with the hearts 3 times across the center, above the phrase, and then colored them in with some Copic markers.   After this I cut a piece of dark brown fun foam, which I adhered under the white cardstock. ...

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone has been well.  I am finally getting over the flu.  We went to the Mega Artesenal last week, which is the largest arts and crafts festivals in Latin America.  It only happens one week per year and as soon as one ends I am waiting for the next to start.  Well, this year I got there for the first day and then got really sick, came home and stayed in bed for several days.  I was not happy but....stuff happens.  LOL   Now just counting down the days until July 2018.  HaHa! Good morning everyone!!  I want to wish a very Happy 4th of July to all of my American friends and family, in the USA and abroad.  Yes, Laurey, this means you in Canada also (LOL)!  I would also like to wish the U.S.A. a very Happy 241st Birthday! Although today is just regular day here we are going to try and make a BBQ for lunch.  I am also making chocolate chip cookies for a "July 4th" party we are going to tonight over at CNA, one of the English schools here. Hello everyone!  It's been too long since I have posted anything here because I was back in NY for a month.  Although I brought stamps and supplies back with me to play with I never made any of the ideas I planned on making.  It was a nice trip.  I got to family, catch up with some friends, and take care of some things.  I got back a week ago finally found some time to make some cards that I wanted to share with you guys.   My apologies if the photos are not great....I now have a Mac and am learning how to work with photos!  Talk about stress!!  LOL The two cards at the top I made for both a card swap (left side) and for the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog (right side).  For the card swap I had to use a stamp by either Penny Black or Stampendous.  So I decided to use the sketch in the current Retro Rubber Challenge No. 65 to make the card, which is this one -  I started with an A2 top folding card base.  I f...

Hello everyone!  Just wanted to pop in with a quick card I made yesterday for a few blog challenges.  First is the CAS On Sunday Challenge Blog .  I was so happy to be one of their top picks last week for Challenge #106  and had to play along again for this week's Challenge #107 , which is is to use glitter or sequins on a card.   I'm also adding it to this week's challenge over on the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge Blog , which is Challenge #97 - Mother's Day . Hello everyone!  Gosh, what a strange few days this has been.  Yesterday we celebrated  May Day here in Brasil - kind of like Labor Day in the states.  And, since a general nationwide strike started on Thursday (don't ask), it was like having a 5-day weekend.  But the (somewhat) quiet allowed me to be productive and enjoy some recent wins.... First, my CAS Wedding Card from last week , where I used that beautiful image from Gina K Designs, was chosen as a winner for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #96.  Second, my "You Hog My Heart" Card from last week , where I used the dies and stamps from MFT Stamps, was a winner on the CAS on Sunday Challenge Blog !!  And, third, I woke up to find out that I was a random winner in a contest on the Stamp Junkies Facebook Group!  Cannot wait to see what I get.  A big YAY to me and a big hug to all of you guys for keeping me creative on this blog! Hello everyone!!  For someone that just complained that time felt as if it had slowed down lately, this week is flying by. Today I have a card for you that I made for this week's challenge over on the CAS on Sunday Challenge Blog .  This is Challenge #106 and you have to use a stencil for the challenge.  Hmmmm....this will be easy considering I must own over 500 stencils.  But then my brain took a detour.  Because Brasil's version of Valentine's Day is coming up in June, I had a die and stamp set sitting on my work station that I had wanted to use.  And, while looking at the die, an idea popped into my head. This die would be a great stencil.  So....why not make one to use on the card?   And that's what I did.   I started with the Hugs & Kisses Cover Up die by Die-namics, which, it seems, has been retired by MFT!!  Grrrrr....  So I cut a piece of white cardstock and ran the die through my Big Shot to create a "...
