Let's "Hang 10" at the Beach | Square Shaker Card | Technique Junkies Stamps

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to July.  The July 4th holiday is over but summer is in full swing, and it's the perfect time to make this fun, square, shaker card.  Once again I used my favorite new rubber stamp - Hang 10 - from Technique Junkies .  This is such a great background stamp, is so much fun to color, and, my Scan N Cut has no problem cutting all of these boards out with ease.  :-)     So, how did I make this card? First, the easy parts. I made a top-folding 6" square card using dark blue cardstock.   I cut a piece of white cardstock, 5.75" x 5.75" (for the inside). I stamped Smell the Sea on white cardstock, die-cut it using a fishtail die, and then die-cut a piece of the same blue cardstock using the next larger fishtail die.  I cut a piece of decorative paper 5.75" x 5.75"  Next... I adhered the Smell the Sea sentiment to the blue layer, trimmed a bit off the top and bottom, and adhered it to the white cardstock....

Happy July 4th | Statue of Liberty | Red, White, and Blue Card

Image
Hello everyone and Happy July 4th!  Was sitting here not believing that tomorrow is July 4th and I quickly made this card.  I may not be living in the USA anymore, and I may not be celebrating but, I am an American who understands the importance of the holiday, democracy, and what my ancestors went through for me to grow up in a democratic country.  This is something we all need to think about this election year.  Democracy.  If you want to recreate this card, this is how I made it. I made a top-folding A2 card using red cardstock. I printed one of the papers from THIS July 4th Digital paper pack that I bought from the Jenny L Designs Shop on Etsy , die-cut it using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, adhered it to a piece of red fun foam, and then I adhered it to the card front. I stamped Liberty Square  from Technique Junkies on white cardstock using Jet Black Stazon. Then I colored the sky using a blue Sharpie marker and used a  Holly Gre...

Coffee and Cards with Deb and Celeste | Father's Day Edition

Image
Hello everyone and Happy Father's Day to those that are celebrating.  Today I am joining my friends Deb ( Meticulosity ) and Celeste  ( CraftingJunky ) for their June Coffee and Card Collab.  Each month they make a card based on a specific mood board, theme, or color, and they talk about the coffee they are drinking that day.    My coffee for today is just everyday Brasilian coffee by Melitta, which, in my opinion, is the best and smoothest.  It's being had with my chocolate chip loaf in my fav cup.  Not the loaf, the coffee.  And the mood board that we had to work with is below.  Lots of tones of brown and, since today is Father's Day, I thought I would make a quick card using scraps from my stash. The first thing I did was to make a top-folding A2 card using brown cardstock.  Then I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the inside of the card.   Because the mood...

Hang 10 | Learn To Surf | Technique Junkies Surfing Card

Image
Hello everyone and Happy Saturday!  When we go to the beach I love to sit and watch the surfers on the waves.  It must be an amazing feeling to be riding a wave.  And, surfing is huge here in Brasil.  When I saw the new Hang 10 stamp from Technique Junkies I knew I would be doing a lot of coloring and, I also knew that the surfboards on Hang 10 would go perfectly with the Learn to Surf stamp.  Because Summer will arrive soon in the USA, and it's always summer here in Brasil, I thought this would be a fun card to make.   First, I stamped Hang 10 on white cardstock and used my Scan N Cut to cut the surfboards with a small border.  You can also fussy cut then if that is your thing.   I colored in a few of them and then applied glossy accents to each surfboard so they would have a glossy when dry.  Then I set them aside to dry for a few hours.  While they were drying, I made a top-folding card using blue cardstock. I die-...

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas | Whimsical Winter | Technique Junkies

Image
Welcome to the June 2024 Edition of The Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas.  I'm playing along with the other Crafty Elves again this month - Debra from Meticulosity and Lisa from Life of a BZScrapper .  On the 25th of each month, we have a Christmas card collab together, where each of us shares at least 1-holiday card idea in the hopes that we inspire you to begin making your holiday cards.   To make this card I used Whimsical Winter and one of the sentiments from Christmas Lights, Set of 4  - both from Technique Junkies .   I made a top-folding A2 card using red cardstock.  Then I die-cut two pieces of white cardstock using a stitched rectangle die measuring 4" x 5.25" and adhered one to the inside. With the other, I stamped the bottom part of Whimsical Winter using Versamark ink, stamped it on my card front, and heat embossed it with a red embossing powder. Using my homemade cloud stencil, Blue Ribbon Dye Ink from Ranger, and an ink b...

Make A Tall Giraffe Slimline Card Using An A2 Giraffe Stamp | Technique Junkies | Giraffe Love

Image
Hello all. I am in love with the new Giraffe Love stamp from Technique Junkies .  It's one of the new stamps in the April 2024 New Stamp Release  (15% off through April 25th).  Giraffes always make me smile and are the first animal I gravitate to at the zoo.  And they are so easy to color.  I wanted to take this A2 size stamp and use it to make a slimline card and, I think I managed that.    Come join me and my madness.  LOL First, I stamped Giraffe Love twice on white cardstock.  Then I die-cut them using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die - I wanted a stitched look around the whole card.  To make my card base I used the Slim Stitched Rectangle Die Set from Pink Fresh Studio.   The largest die measures 3 5/8" x 8 5/8" so that is what my card base needs to be.  I cut 2 pieces of white cardstock - one at 3 5/8" x 8 5/8" and the other at 3 5/8" x 9 1/8".  I scored 1/2" at the top of the longer piece and adher...
