Chanel Themed Mini Album - Photos and Video

Image
Hello everyone.  Today is a short and sweet blog post but heavy on photos.  I wanted to share a mini album I recently finished using products from 2 of my fav companies - Your Book of Memories and Arte Facil Artesanato . Last month I joined a monthly club kit with Arte Facil Artesanato , a craft company here in Brasil.  I love this brand.  They make scrapbook papers, rubber stamps, stencils, etc.  I got my first box last month and it included a paper collection called Chanel  - like in Coco.  Black, white, pink, florals.  Love it.   I used the Easy Mini Album tutorial from Your Book of Memories and finished this album in about 4 hours.  This is a great album to give as gifts or even to sell at craft fairs.  Or, if you are looking to get into album making, this is a great tutorial to start with.  Just saying.   Below are photos of the book.  Cover, inside, back.  It measures 7" x 8" x 1.5" and ...

The Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas - August 2021 Edition

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to the August 2021 edition of The Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas.  The Crafty Elves - Debra of Meticulosity , Lisa of Life of a BZScrapper , and myself are being joined by another Guest Elf - a real Elf - Misty,  The Jolly Fat Elf herself!   I hope you like the card ideas I came up with this month.  Links to the other Crafty Elves' projects and social media links are at the end of this post. Now, on to my cards! Card No. 1 I have to admit that I kinda cheated on this card but I think it's a super easy idea and this card is very fast to make using this idea.  Hero Arts makes some very affordable small clear sets for about $8 which are packaged in a way that you don't always need to remove any of the stamps to make a card.  I used Sparkle Clear World Christmas (CL253)/retired and, if you look at the link, you can see that you can use this as it is packaged.    I started by removing the stamp set from th...

Shadow Box Christmas Wreath Home Decor with Anthony's Paper Craft

Image
The idea for this "home decor" piece came after I watched THIS video on how to make a shadowbox.  The box measures 6" x 6" and the inside is 4.5" x 4.5", which is the perfect size for the Wreath 2 stamp I wanted to use.   You could also use Wreath 3 and, for a Spring/Floral box, you can use Wreath 4 . So, the first thing I did was to make my shadowbox using a piece of textured red cardstock.   Instead of me showing how to make the box, it's better if you just watch the video.  She does a great job showing how to make the box.     I also cut 4 strips of decorative paper to fit the 4 sides of the front of the box.   Next, I adhered the strips to each side of the shadowbox.   I cut a piece of white cardstock with a 4" stitched square die.  Then I stamped the Wreath 2 image using Onyx Black Versafine ink and then I heat embossed it using Black Sparkle Embossing Powder by Ranger.  Then I colored the wreath with...

Happy 245th Birthday USA! Happy July 4th with Impression Obsession

Image
Happy 4th of July to all my friends and family in the states.  Today the USA turns 245 years old.  Although she is falling apart and needs her infrastructure structured again, she is still a good looking woman!! So I made her a birthday card.  I hope I look this good when I am 245!   I started by making a top folding A2 card from white cardstock.  Then I printed one of the papers from the Vintage 4th of July Digital Paper from the Jenny L Designs Shop on Etsy and I die cut it using a stitched rectangle die measuring 4.25" x 5.5", which I then adhered to the card front. I die cut another piece of white cardstock using a smaller stitched rectangle die.  Then I die cut the US Flag Die from Impression Obsession leaving room for a sentiment under it.    I adhered the piece with the big rectangle hole in the center to a piece of white fun foam, which I then adhered to the card front. Then I adhered the flag inside the rectangle spa...
