I am on the Design Team for one of the Super Sponsors - Anthony's Paper Craft . Hello Spring Flowers Part 2...

Image
Hello everyone.  Yesterday I made a card using a set called Best Buds from Paper Smooches , which you can see HERE.  I made the card for a challenge blog but then I ended up making a few more that I wanted to share here.  This is such a fun easy stamp set to use. And, there is a back story of sorts to this set.  My friend Sue was telling me about a stamp set that she owned but could not find in her stash.  (She and I seem to have the same problems).  So, when Paper Smooches ran a sale a few weeks later she bought it.  Again.  I finally asked her what set it was and she told me " Best Buds ".  When I checked the site I had to laugh.  Not only did I own it, but it had never been used.  I could have sent it to her.  The good news is, she now has her own AND she found the first one.  So she owns two.  If anyone is interested in buying the other one from her just let me know and I will put you in touch with her....

Hello Spring Flowers...

Image
Hello everyone.  As my peeps in the USA enjoy spring, flowers popping up, and warmer weather coming their way, here in Brasil we are in fall and heading into winter.  But the weather here is still nice and we even got some flowers from the garden center to plant.   There are a few challenge blogs with either a flower or "anything goes" theme that I will be entering this into.   http://crafterscastle.blogspot.com/2020/05/may-challenge-29-april-winner.html https://aperfecttimetocraft.blogspot.com/2020/05/a-perfect-time-to-craft-open-challenge.html https://www.retrorubberchallengeblog.com/my-blog/2020/05/challenge-134-spring-flowers.html I am using a stamp set called Best Buds from Paper Smooches that I have owned for at least 2 years but it has never been used.  Until today!   These are the supplies I used in making this card.  I adhered a piece of pink cardstock to my card base. Next, I pulled ou...

Unicorns Have Birthdays Too...

Image
Hello everyone!  How is everyone doing?  We are still under quarantine here...blah, blah, blah...our numbers in this country are going up...blah, blah, blah...not everyone is doing what they should...blah, blah, blah...so I continue to make cards, mini albums, cakes, and bread.  I've even sold a few of the cakes and bread!     Today's Design Team project is for Challenge No. 142 on the  If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge Blog  and it's all about unicorns!  Who doesn't love a unicorn?   If you wish to play along with us, which i hope you do, below  is the  inspiration photo that the Design Team had to work with when making their projects.      For my card -   I started by printing one of the unicorn images from the Birthday Unicorn Set 2 from Bugaboo Stamps  and then die cutting it with a stitched rectangle die. I made a top folding A2 card using white cardstock...

Crafty Elves Countdown to the Holidays - April 2020

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to the April 2020 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to the Holidays.     How are you guys doing?  Holding up?  It's been a strange month for all of us and this is definitely starting to get to me.  The elves ( Debra ,  Lisa ,  Jessica , and myself) are all feeling it and it took a lot for us to make our cards this month.  But, this is what keeps me going even though my sanity is gone.  LOL   So, without further ado, here are my 4 Crafty Elf cards for April.  Please remember to check out the other Crafty Elves - Debra, Lisa, and Jessica - whose links to their posts are at the end of this post. Card No. 1   Last week I received a little card in the mail from my fellow Crafty Elf - Debra - along with a little present inside - the Hanukkah stamp I used on this card.   I was happy just to get snail mail let alone a little gift. Thanks again, Debra!!  ...

You Are The Mac to My Cheese...

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone had a good Easter or Passover if you celebrate, and that everyone is safe and doing well.  We are still under quarantine although, according to the news here, only 48% of the town is following it.  I am staying in and making cards...and mini albums...and cakes...and cookies...   Today's card is for Challenge No. 140 on the  If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge Blog .  We received a lot of entries for our last challenge and we are keeping this challenge as an "anything goes" challenge again with the hopes of keeping you crafters busy.     Below is the  inspiration photo that the Design Team had to work with when making their projects.  If you want to join us, which I hope you do, feel free to use the photo or make any card you want to make since it is now "anything goes".   I decided to go with the photo inspiration and used the You Are The Mac To My Che...

It Doesn't Matter How Slow You Go.....

Image
Hi everyone.  On Saturday I showed a card I made using the Anything Is Possible digital set from Polka Dot Orchard .  I printed two of the same frame and today I show you how I used the 2nd image to make  this "home decor" or desk project.   I colored the 2nd frame using my Prismacolor markers again but I changed the color of the flowers.  I also cut a piece of black and pink cardstock so that I can layer them, and I cut a piece of black cardstock using the Small Easel die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix (sadly, retired). I used the Angle Corner Chomper on the corners of the black and pink cardstock.  I adhered the black cardstock to the pink cardstock first, and then I adhered the frame to the black cardstock using foam tape - to give some dimension.   Next, I adhered the Small Easel to the back of the pink cardstock so that it can sit up correctly. To be honest, you could stop here and just put a nice photo in the ...
