Image
Hello everyone and welcome to Week 3 of my LGBTQ+ Pride Month 2022 collaboration with my friends Debra of  Meticulosity , and Misty aka  The Jolly Fat Elf .    Our cards from the last two weeks can be found over on our social media pages, links to which can be found at the end of this post.  Once again the three of us used products from  Paper House Productions  for our cards this week.  They are huge supporters of the community and have a nice selection of products for the LGBT+ community.  At the end of this post, there is a discount code giving you a 15% discount on their site. Now, on to my card for week 3. For this card I used the Stacked Hearts die from Simon Says Stamp and I paired it with a sticker from the Planner Stickers Book - Love is Love Minis   by the artist Sierra Mullen of River & ink and  Paper House Productions .   The idea was to make a shaker card using this die but I must have had a bra...

Flag Day Card / Independence Day Card / July 4th Card / Happy Birthday USA Card with Polka Dot Orchard

Image
Hey everyone and Happy Flag Day.  I remember being in elementary school and this holiday being a big day. We all learned about the flag and the importance of respecting it.  Nowadays...well...a different story.  I love this digital set from Polka Dot Orchard called Stand Up For America and the two sneakers are perfect for making a quick card for Flag Day, Independence Day, a July 4th invitation to a bbq, or just a birthday card for the good ole US of A.     I started by printing two of the sneaker images from the Stand Up For America set on a piece of white cardstock.  The 2nd will be used for another card idea.  I also printed one of the papers from the "4th of July Digital Paper Set" that I bought from  Bella Creative Design on Etsy.  And I made a top folding slimline card base from white cardstock, 4" x 9". Then I adhered the red, white, and blue design to my card front.  Using the Slim Stitched Rectangle Die Set from...

Wedding Album and Box with Your Book of Memories

Image
Hello everyone.  Today I would like to share a mini album and box that I recently made for our friends Bárbara and Vinicius.  They got married a few weeks ago and then had a simple and beautiful luncheon.   I made this album using the Choice Folio tutorial from Frances at  Your Book of Memories  and the Hello Pretty paper pad by Kraftopia and Carina Gardner.  I believe this paper is only available here in Brasil.  ***Note: The Choice Folio is a FREE tutorial from Your Book of Memories.  If you are curious about making an album, looking to get into making albums, are just curious about how Frances teaches, this is a great way to start and it will not cost you a dime.  Well, you do have to pay for the paper and glue and tape and your time.  But, still...FREE! I did follow most of the tutorial but I did add a section to the book because I had the room.  I explain in the video where I did this.  Photos of the book and a...

Coffee Themed Mini Album with Your Book of Memories and Graciellie Designs

Image
Hello everyone.  Today I would like to share a mini album that I recently finished.  Besides card making, this is my other favorite thing to do and I have been very busy lately.  This is a coffee-themed album using the Gateflip Folio tutorial from Frances at Your Book of Memories , which I paired with the Coffee Lovers Digital Paper Pack and the Coffee Queen Digital Stamp Set , both from Graciellie Designs .   Funny back story here.  This is not a new tutorial from Frances.  I watched the video of this book when she first came out with it but the paper she used was not my style and the book was not whispering in my ear "buy me....make me..."  LOL But then, a few months later, she made the book again with paper that did talk to me, and this time I listened to the voices in my head and I bought the tutorial.  It's really amazing to me how a paper pack can make an album look.  I did follow most of the tutorial, making only a few ch...

Hello everyone and welcome to Week 2 of my LGBTQ+ Pride Month 2022 collaboration with my friends Debra of Meticulosity , and Misty aka The Jolly Fat Elf .  Because they are huge supporters of the LGBTQ+ community we decided to collab on some projects together.  Our cards last week can be found over on our social media pages, links to which can be found at the end of this post.  We all used products from Paper House Productions this week, again, and there is a discount code at the end of this post that you can use to get a 15% on their site. Now, on to my card for week 2. I started by cutting a piece of white cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" and securing it to my work surface with washing tape.  I adhered the Inky Hearts Stencil from Stencil Girl Products on top of my card front using some more painter’s tape.  I pulled out 6 mini ink cubes from Gina K. Designs to use on the hearts - Red Hot, Tangerine Twist, Wild Dandelion. Lucky Clover, Powder Blue, an...
