Christmas Cards with Removable Ornaments | KCS Designs by Kim | Black Friday Sale

Hello everyone.  I'm so excited to share this Christmas card idea with y'all.  Last week, when I was in town, I found packages of Christmas ornaments.  The ornaments are made from felt, are very light,  and as soon as I saw them, this idea popped into my head!

Here is a video on how I made the card:

To make this card idea:
  • I made a top-folding A2 card using red cardstock.
  • I printed one of the Christmas Gingham Journal Papers from KCS Designs by Kim at 50% on white cardstock.
  • I die-cut it using a stitched rectangle die, adhered a piece of fun foam to the back, and then adhered it to my card front.
  • Using the two sides of velcro, I added one sticker to the back of the felt ornament, then the other side to the card front, and added the ornament to the card front.
  • I printed one of the sentiments from the Christmas Word Snippets set, trimmed it, layered it on a piece of red cardstock, and then to the card front.
  • Lastly, I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the inside of the card.
Here are the 4 cards I made using 4 different ornaments.

I love the idea of giving someone a card with a removable ornament on it.  This way, every year, when they decorate their tree, they will think of me.  LOL
